I attempted to search to see if anyone else is having this problem, but could not find anything else on it. I've noticed for some time now, whenever I upload an icon for a character, it always looks very blurry once it's displayed. The icon I use can be crystal clear when I upload it, but on the site it's really fuzzy. I've tried different file types, cropping/resizing beforehand so that the site doesn't have to resize it.. Is there something I am doing wrong? Is there a way to make the icons look more clear and crisp?
Nevermind, disregard this. I saw the post below about a similar issue, my eyes skipped over it before. I tried the suggested solution and it's working! crisp pretty icons again, thanks.

I find the main uploader tends to degrade photos more than the Legacy Uploader.
Just have to make sure what you upload is cropped square.

Oh yeah ha. I went through several rounds of being annoyed that my icons looked fuzzy, but also I have a huge hang up with asking for help. I kept thinking 'well not everyone's icons are like that so apparently it's just something I haven't figured out' then I'd let it go for a while... then it would bug me again. I saw the button for the legacy thing but the wording made me think it just meant if you couldn't upload at all. Autistic brain "Well it technically WORKS *I* just can't figure out how to make icons look crisp" Cue a forehead slap when I saw the solution, because it seemed so obvious.
