guys I have a question, can anyone give me context on what’s happening 😭

It's only three pages!!

An evil mage is standing in the middle of the town square, decimating people and buildings with magic. He's fallen victim to a corrupting crystal that seems to take over the minds of the people it infects. Only a few characters have that knowledge, but it's pretty easy to infer at this point. This mage wasn't the first creature to turn on the town, only the most dangerous— wild animals, farm animals, and some people have gone mad and gotten violent as well, hence some of the characters pre-existing injuries.

The medieval town is slowly falling to a malice and it's up to us to find the root of it and save as many people as we can (optional side quest).

thooough, could someone give me ideas on how my merchant idiot could be related to the story? the only thing I do have with him that’s “useful” is that he’s a Tatzelwurm (a cat dragon thing, it’s a real creature google it), but he doesn’t like to show that he is one

I would say read (or at least skim) through everything in here (there isn't a lot) from the first page up to now to gather information, cause there are small details here and there that may help you decide how to fit in your character! Once you've done that I'll also be glad to help with ideas hahaha.

Hey y’all, so I finally was able to skim through.

In summary, druids were causing trouble (I assume) in the town, before a mage appeared and started going apeshit. That’s what I’m getting at.

So, here’s sorta the thing, my character isn’t exactly a Druid, but like a Mythical creature like Theo. For a good reason, he doesn’t like humans. So I’m on the fence whether to help Ayla or not (I’m not exactly sure if she’s a human or not).

Anyway, I still sorta need help on how my character fits into the story if y’all don’t mind me asking for help 😭

No problem! It's great you took the time to give it a skim. From what I've read, you've already established pretty well why he's in town in the first place: to make a profit! Or something like that. So I imagine maybe originally he came here just for that, and is now getting caught up in the town's big problems.

It doesn't need to be a rock-solid thing or anything complex. Maybe he was just passing through and got caught up in everything.

Perhaps a reason he doesn't just ditch the place when trouble rises is because of the many odd dangers surrounding town due to what's going on, and he simply can't leave on his own without risking injury or death... thus, almost forcing him to help the rest of the people overcome the problems? Depending on what he's like, maybe he stays because he's curious about what's happening?

He doesn't necessarily have to help anyone, either... after all, villain or other characters are also welcome.

Yeah, that makes the most sense. Spectre would just exist for one moment and then the next, something happens.

Because of his guilt, he may try and intervene—I don’t know if it’s possible, but I’m planning on trying to attack the mage with his breath, or he might transform into his form, which is a Tatzelwurm.

If it’s allowed, I’ll probably do that, if the mage doesn’t jump me (he may jump me lmao)

If it helps, Cas is only involved because he got blasted into a wall just walking into the town. Maybe your guy's merchant stand gets destroyed in the whirlwind of debris or something.

Good point! I think after his stand/wagon gets destroyed he can force himself to get in. Maybe he could interact with someone. Thanks!
