You play a character who lives in a limbo-like realm away from the real ones, where time doesn't matter and where children from several universes who have or are soon to have taken their lives go to. It is your job to act as a therapist to these kids and try and make them reconsider, with the power to have them wake back up in their beds that same morning, safe and sound, on the table. Your character is able to take the standard form of their character, or another form that they feel would be safer and more familiar for the child, such as plushies, fictional characters, imaginary friends, or the dominant species in their universe. You usually succeed, but the few that deny your option are all too common. A saddening fact.
This rp take you through the lives and traumas of several child characters from worlds inhabited by anthropomorphic animals. It's up to you to give them a last day, advice, and ultimately an attempt to save their lives. You will be given a description of their life and their character beforehand, a deadline, as well as unlimited power over the world around you, the location of which is predetermined by your overseers. All this has one caveat: you cannot force them to wake up, no matter how much you care about them.

I've had this dark story idea for a bit now, and wanna write it into something, but don't have the time. So: why not make this into an rp? I'm also down to play as the other side, although I'd prefer to play as the children and overseers as I admit I'm not actually the best at comforting people.

Magic is very common. Magic-tech, grand floating islands, forests that sing, magical creatures may be an every-day occurrence.
Modern
No combat. If problems arise, players may be expected to solve it without resorting to violence.
No romance at all will be included in this plot, period.
