I don't have a lot of super specific ideas, but one thing I think could be really fun is if Genzai is forced into a supportive role for your character, since they know a lot of buffing type magic. They'd definitely hate being forced into a role like that, especially if it's for someone higher ranking or more experienced than them. Even more so if they actually end up out of their element and really are better relegated to the support role. A more general forced/assigned to work together scenario could also be fun! I think that the exact details of the two's assignment would be best to work out together. Something with some light mystery elements would be fun, but something more action-focused like a heist would be cool too. But I'm pretty open to scenarios, as long as there isn't romance involved, since they're aroace and don't have any interest in romance.
Genzai is probably best summed up as a sadistic would-be serial killer openly just using mercenary work as a legal way to kill, but they have some details on their page. They tend to be pretty independent and dislike working with others, so collaborating with them is likely to be somewhat tense. I think they could be particularly fun against someone with more of a moral code since they're fairly open about not having one, and that could be a fun source of tension between the characters!
As for me, I usually write on the lower end, one or two paragraphs most of the time, so I prefer partners that write similar amounts, but I don't mind as long as your writing isn't just lengthy for the sake of being lengthy. I usually write third person present tense, but I don't really care what you do!

Combat is woven into the storyline and could come to the forefront if the characters seek it out.
