So I'm practicing a little animation on top of some of my most recent attempts at getting back in the art saddle, figured I'd post it up and get some feedback. It's frame animated in Photoshop and my computer lags horribly so I hope to adjust it with things like making the drones more naturally flitter about, and maybe some cool effects. But anyway, hurr.
The end result still looks pretty good! I like the whole idle animation thing going on and have been thinking about doing some of my own, honestly.
In terms of the drones, have you considered drawing a path for them and animating them along the pathlines? It might provide for a more smooth animation in the end. o: I'm not sure what you're using to animate, though PhotoShop should be able to let you have the layer for the lines to follow and then allow for its deletion once you're done without messing up the frames. ^ 0 ^
