Ello all. I haven't been able to find many modern roleplays that aren't closed or are already ongoing, so I figured I might find some people and start up my own. I'm gonna post a link to the IC forum for this RP after everybody's gathered up and ready.
I'd kinda like to keep it close, so a max of maybe five including me (but that could change). Since this is a modern RP, fantasy and magical stuff don't really mix, but I don't mind any of that as long as it's in small doses and doesn't become the main focus. I figured the setting of this RP is gonna be in a quiet little town up in the northern places of America, so it'll get pretty chilly. I'm always open to suggestions on what's in or surrounding the town, or we can just make it up as we go along. Feel free to add in any real-life issues/problems/conflicts to spice things up some, since it could get pretty boring without a tad bit of action. Also, please keep it PG-13. Romance and blood are allowed, just don't go crazy into detail. Swearing is also allowed, but again please don't overdo it. I want this to be a fun RP, so please be respectful. ^^'
I'll be using my boy Ian and will use his application as an example:
Name: Ian Bradley
Gender: Male
Age: 23
Job: Coffee shop worker
Short Description: Pale skin, dirty blonde pixie cut hair, blue eyes, often seen in a grey turtleneck with black jeans, grey tennis shoes, black plastic glasses, and a leather bracelet with "Alicia" engraved on the outside
Personality: Pessimistic, pushes himself way too hard, tends to speak out of turn sometimes (but immediately regrets it), can be rather sweet and helpful once you get past the negativity and shyness
Bio: (This part is optional just in case one of you has a really, really long history. Just post a few key points about your character and you'll be golden.)
Quick Update: You can use multiple characters if you'd like to, just submit an extra application. Whatever works for ya.

On very, very, rare occasions there may be unexplained, POSSIBLY supernatural events. Minor "environmental" magic. Perhaps implies the existence of a deity or supernatural entity. Or perhaps it's just tricks?
Modern
A peaceful setting, but with a chance for small fights and struggles to break out on a very small scale.

Job: Unemployed
Short Description: He possesses greasy brunette hair and sharp blue eyes. His wardrobe consists of wrinkled clothing, he rarely does laundry. He has a keen liking for comfy shoes and typically just wears good ol' socks and sandals. He can probably be seen lugging a bottle of beer around.
Personality: He's totally reckless and tends to not listen to reasoning. Don't get him upset or you'll never hear the end of it. He tends to become rather violent when he gets drunk, which is unfortunately often. He also lies compulsively.
Bio: To sum it up, he was a violent teen, and became a violent husband in later years. After a failed marriage, his wife left him and his daughter in the dust after becoming fed up with Lewis' drunken acts of violence. Currently he's raising a rebellious seventeen year old daughter and wishes he could turn back time to be a better person.

He also has gorgeous none structure which makes him extremely attractive (own it boi).
Personality: Annoying, pessimistic, obsessive, addictive, persuasive when he needs to be, flirtatious, intriguing, closed off.
Bio: Basically was brought up to sell drugs and obsess over illegal activities. He was a very troubled teenager, so he continued to be a troubled adult and is barely even alive, clinging onto humanity by his teeth.

Congrats, Mythical, ya got the last spot! Also, your characters being demons is totally fine as long as it doesn't leave a giant impact on the whole modern theme.
