Magic is great, isn't it ? Well, not in this world.
Here, it is either Divine, from the gods, burning and full of hatred, or Profane, from evil and otherworldly patrons, painful to the user and just plain wrong.
It may not appear like it at a first glance. After all, hatred of the sinners isn't that bad, heh ? Not until you turn into a winged war-machine whos choirs and songs make people scream in agony, begging you to end their suffering with your flamming sword.
The other side isn't pretty either. Having a demon or a great old one in your head, giving you powers is only cool on the paper. In reality, it's a life of pain, fear and madness, both for you and the people around.
That's why nearly every governement created "highschools" to deal with the problem of cleric (users of Divine magic, also called paladins, aasimars or godsent) and warlocks (users of Profane magic, also called sorcerers, tieflings or malicious). Sometimes more prisons than schools, these buildings are designed to train the young clerics to retain their inner angel and the young warlocks to cope with their dementia, but also and foremost to take them away from society and prevent them from hurting "true humans".
The RP will take place in the Highschool named Babel, in a military zone in Canada. It houses around 200 clerics and 500 warlocks, 250 days per year, it is surrounded by kilometers of snowy plains, and is "protected" by a small army. The "students" benefit of some comfort, and it is actually a fairly good school.
You are young magic users, clerics or warlocks, you may be in Babel since some time or you may have just arrived. You may be here because you wanted to, or because you were forced to.
I'll be playing a younger version of Angelic (around 17 years old).

Magic may be accepted as truth but is not common. It might be harnessed only by specific beings. Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones.

Distant war may be part of the setting, but any scenes that happen to involve combat will likely be summarized, not played out in detail.

I guess it will be played on the General or Fantasy Roleplay forums. It could also be played on discord (with channels being different places).

Interested but when will it start? and agree the choice where it's being played should be made more will prolly join instead of waiting haha. I say doing it here in the forums would be best. Recruit people here and then make a board in the fantasy forum to play it out.
