After Magnus has lost everyone he cared about, he comes face to face with a witch, who sends him to the world of monsters.When trapped there, the emperor sends in the best human hunting monster they have. However, when they meet and fight Magnus for the first time, they can't bring themselves to kill him for whatever reason, and soon begrudgingly agrees to help him escape. As they journey through the world, battling massive creatures and unnatural beasts, they begin learning about one another.
