He got distracted which gave her a chance to get her thumb from his grasp.
she yanked her thumb away
she moved it
she got it out of his grasp
she got it again and started crawling on the floor as fast as she could
she went faster
she sat on the top of the staircase
He sat down at the bottom. He smiled at her and crawled away wanting her to try and catch him. He wanted to see what she’d do after she caught him.
