Currently, events have 3 options to interact with the event besides commenting: Can't go, might be able to go, and can attend. I love this feature because it spreads RP hype very quickly since it lets everyone know if a character is attending or might be attending.
However, if someone makes an event that others like, but they put that event at a time that the person can't attend, it makes the host think that maybe people didn't like the event itself.
Facebook has a nice feature that lets you mark yourself as interested in an event. This lets the event host know people like the idea of the event itself, regardless of whether or not that person can attend.
It might be nice to incorporate something like this so that the event host gets more feedback on the event from people who can't go, but like the idea of it.
(I wouldn't mind if you could only mark yourself as interested /after/ you've RSVPd, or at least maybe at the same time. Facebook has suffered on the commitment level of attendees since you can mark yourself as interested without actually RSVPing)
