The story is, your character (preferably male but can be female) has been hired by royalty to stop a evil witch that lives on the other side of the magical world. When they arrive, they learn that the evil witch is a helpless little girl. They go on a long, tedious journey to bring the witch to the other side of the land, and prove to the people that she is harmless.
Your character must be 16+ years old, so no romance (obviously, the witch is just a kid.)
Your character is human, with the witch being one of the sole sources of magic in the world.
Your character's job is to protect the witch, and return with her and themselves in one piece.

Some magic. Few can use it, but most of the players probably won't have it. Magical characters will likely believe that they are all alone.
Near future, perhaps cloning and genetic manipulation
Distant war may be part of the setting, but any scenes that happen to involve combat will likely be summarized, not played out in detail.
No romance at all will be included in this plot, period.
