Simple and hopefully fun game! Here are the steps:
1) Look at the post above and see what setting they give
2) Choose one of your characters that is NOT from a setting of that type (if they say "High Fantasy", choose a sci-fi, cyberpunk, historical, or horror character, for example)
3) Say what they would do in that setting, and explain if you'd like! For example, a potion master moved to a modern setting might become a DJ always up to help give people a thrill and a taste of awesome through music rather than magical enhancement, or become a cybertechnician in a cyberpunk setting since they want to push the mind's and body's limits.
4) Describe the character's home setting in a few words for the next person to play with!
As an example and starter, let's pretend that the setting above is Mostly low fantasy cosmic horror in New England.
Victi would be a hunter and trapper living off in the woods who has seen a little too much. In addition to the heads of deer and moose, she has some much weirder trophies mounted in her lodge. She knows about the kinds of nasty monsters that go bump in the night and has slowly learned to use their masters' twisted magics against them. She's worryingly well read about the horrors from beyond the stars, and seems a little too comfortable with certain rituals and concoctions, but the scariest part to the investigators who come to her for advice is that she seems mostly sane in spite of that normally mind-destroying knowledge....
