G'oooo'h was raised by the pygmy elephants of Indomer for fifteen years, from the age of six. She is now twenty-two years old and has never seen another human in her life. Unlike her family she is omnivorous and eats meat and insects. She learned the ways of the island from her mother and Nyla the tigeress. From Kyri the hawk the woman has heard of strange fish(ships) that swim on top of the water. These large fish carry two legged creatures on their backs and in their bellies, creatures that look a bit like G'oooo'h.
