This may only be applicable to me (what do you mean I send in a lot of reports? 
) but I've been secretly wishing this for some time.
1. I sometimes forget when I reported something, and end up reporting it twice (or more often).
2. When I have extra information to add or something is no longer relevant, it sometimes feels disorganized and detached to send a PM or another report to correct it.
3. I like having a record of what I've done.
I like ticket systems on other sites because they are pretty transparent to the user as well as the person handling the ticket. Maybe we can get something like that? At the very least I'd be really happy just getting a copy of the submission from Server (like when you receive a gift with a message) so I can sort it in a separate folder.
No idea if this creates additional stress to the system and how viable it is, but... it'd be neat! I understand if I'm alone in this though, or if it's not viable.

I think the bug reports system is as old as - and hasn't really been updated since - the site itself. It was definitely thrown together in a "we're going to need a way to report problems!" panic, and has absolutely no bells or whistles.
I would love to change that at some point, but unfortunately, It's quite low on the priority list right now -- Aside from me, you're the only person who interacts with it with any kind of regularity.
