Some years ago I made a spotted hyena character on Furcadia and then got bored and stopped using them. Maybe a year or so ago I dusted the character off and fleshed out their personality and background - a lot. Even though the character can't remember a fair portion of their past I made up that part as well and ended up making a culture for them partly based off some African folk stories I read and lot of other things.

I have tried to address many aspects of the culture as best I can.
This is not an evil race but some of their practices are not generally condoned among humans(at least where I'm from). Even so I have tried to keep the page PG to PG-13.
