Medieval:
The mostly medieval clothes are worn by the common people who don't have too much money. Sports like jousting is still being practiced. Public execution is still a thing, but you're not obligated to watch. Weapons like swords and axes are very commonly used.
Steampunk/Victorian:
The higher and more rich classes, tend to have more Victorian clothing. The rich are also very fond of playing badminton. The rich also live in the more Victorian houses. Guns are only owned by the very rich who can actually afford it. Guns are a sign of wealth and high class. Women can wear pants, but it's very frowned upon. Socially, women are expected to wear skirts or dresses. Women are also still not allowed to have jobs. They are expected to be taking care of the kids and the home.
Modern:
Everyone has electricity for lights and fridges. Yet, it doesn't go for heating, meaning you have to heat up the house by making a fire in the fireplace. You can also take showers and baths now, with warm water straight from the tap. WC works like today. No racisim.

On very, very, rare occasions there may be unexplained, POSSIBLY supernatural events. Minor "environmental" magic. Perhaps implies the existence of a deity or supernatural entity. Or perhaps it's just tricks?
Industrial revolution
Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.
