Woodsong (played by KittyRawrz)

The forest had been agitated for quite some time now. New plants were taking forever to grow and even when they did most of the time they were smaller than they should have been or heavily diseased. This was very troubling for all of the organisms that lived inside of the forest and it seemed to always be full of chatter. Animals were always talking among themselves, possibly about the problems that were facing them currently.

Woodsong had spent many days searching through the dirt, the leaves of the trees, and even the feces of the animals that lived in the forest to try and find out why this was happening. She had lived in the forest for her full adult life and didn't want to lose her home. She knew that a lot of the animals were depending on her too, since she was the only one who could converse with humans.

"I know Madam Rabbit," She spoke in a voice that was like the whisper of the wind. Her deeply tanned form was sitting cross legged in front of a den that a rabbit had dug. Her face, stained from the dirt that she had been digging in the last few days was pointed down to look at a beautiful silky white rabbit. It sat outside of the den, merely inches away from her fingers wriggling it's nose at the air that blew through the trees. She sighed deeply, rubbing her eyes with the backs of her dirty hands. "Yes, I am doing all that I can. I will only wait a few more days until I ask for help." She paused to stare at the rabbit with her bright emerald eyes before nodding her head. "I know, I know, I don't want to bring outsiders in either, but if it will help I will do anything."

She sighed as she sat there, letting Madam Rabbit talk to her about all of the worries she had during the day. Though no sound was coming from the creature, it seemed like she could hear what it might be saying. She was most definitely a strange woman indeed. When the rabbit was finished, she stood from the ground. As tall as she was, the rabbit looked so small down by her feet. "Do not worry, you know that I will protect this forest with my life." The conviction in her face was true as she balled her hand up into a fist and hit it against her chest. She waved goodbye to the rabbit and began to make the same rounds that she had made every day. Everyday she would go to the different corners of the forest, checking on the creatures that she knew lived there.

The sun filtered in through the leaves of the trees, warming her body as she walked. This forest had been her home for many great years and she had mapped the whole thing multiple times. Though new additions were always being made to the forest by nature's will, she almost didn't need to look with her eyes to know where she was going. She was a tall woman with a head full of extremely bushy caramel colored hair. Leaves, sticks, twigs, and various other debris would always be stuck in her locks no matter how many times she bathed. Her body was slender, making it easy for her to slip in and out of the trees quietly and all she wore was a leather bodysuit piece that resembled a bathing suit, made completely out of tanned hide. It kept her nice and cool in the warm weather that they had there.

She headed to the north side of the forest, hoping that the fox kits would be out playing so that she might be able to release some of the stress that she was feeling. She loved to play with the foxes. They were extremely agile and were always a task when she tried to catch them.

Evangeline woke up at the first light of the sun. The Magnificent Oak was still quiet. She prepared breakfast, and decided to go explore. The other fae didn't like it when she was human-sized, but she felt so vulnerable being small. Plus, her powers were easier to use, other than flying of course. She flew a ways down to the north side of the forest, and once she was far enough, transformed.

Her boots landed on the dry leaves with a crunch. Her honey blonde hair was glistening in the sun's golden rays. Her bright blue eyes were full of excitement as she looked around the forest. She noticed something wasn't quite right. The trees seemed to droop with sadness, and the animals seemed depressed. She touched the ground, sensing for any dark magic. "Nothing." She muttered. The source must be deeper than her powers can go.

She turned to a small fox kit that had run up to her. She smiled, and picked him up. She conjured her fox familiar, and the two began to play. The mother comes over. "Hello Mrs. Fox. How are you today?" She asks the fox. Her voice was silky and smooth. Her and the fox have a conversation on what is happening to the forest. She says she knows nothing of what's happening.
