Mariko, my character, is going on an adventure because of desire for some sort of thrill in her boring life. She is and has been an herbalist all her life, but she has a sword, and she fully intends to use it if it will give her something to live for.
Her mother is a tad bit overprotective, let's say, so she searches for someone to accompany her daughter on this risky task of wandering aimlessly around the world. She finds your character, thinks they look capable, and request that they allow Mariko to accompany them.
Naturally, their interests will conflict with her desires, and maybe make some good RP moments?
I'm not picky on any aspects of your side of the RP, and I'm not consistent in my response length, but it's usually a paragraph for descriptions and a few sentences in dialogue.
This RP is specifically a journey, so it should last for awhile.
I'm requesting just one partner, but if two or three want to group together I wouldn't complain. We can have a nice little band of adventurers going to conquer the world for no apparent reason.....great.
I'm looking for partners that I can RP with (possibly multiple times?) rather than someone to RP this specific plot with, so if I seem okay but this plot is garbage then still hmu I beg you.

Magic is fairly common. Players and NPCs important to the tale may have it. Mistborn.

Combat is woven into the storyline and could come to the forefront if the characters seek it out.
Details: Freeform, adjustable length posts, long-term RP partner preferred.

Is this still open? And if so, how fantasy-y is this? Because I have my most medieval character, Ebe, but she's a half-orc, and I would prefer to keep her like that. But, if it there is no magic, I can easily make her human. Either way, I'm up for this.
