Plumes of smoke. Gnashing of metal. Squeals, sparks, roars and rumbles. The metal monsters came and began to eat the forest. For the forest's primitive but intelligent denizens - known to humans as Forest Imps - it meant fleeing from their homes as the spirits that inhabited the ancient trees died one-by-one. All seemed lost, until two brave creatures stepped forward from the chaos... to save their people. And to save their forest.

If you're a year or so younger than that and feel you're more mature than average, we can discuss things, but there will be extra limits set on RP to keep everyone comfortable regarding the age gap. If you're 18+, expect darker themes to occur - unless you request otherwise, things might get quite emotionally intense.

Looking for a single partner to accompany Cysgod on their mission to save the forest. Said partner must play as a member of Cysgod's species (which in this particular universe are known as Forest Imps by humans).

Forest Imps are small mammal-like beings covered head to toe in fur. They are born from magic and thus are born fully-grown, after which they do not age and can potentially live forever. Regardless of their physical age, their mental age is typically similar to a small human child. They are physically incapable of speech and cannot comprehend written language or complex mathematics. Despite this, they are significantly more intelligent than typical apes.
Colours: Forest Imps can have fur, skin and eye colours of any hue.
Reproduction and gender: Forest Imps are created by the forest and thus do not reproduce. As such, they lack any sexual features and their society does not have genders. Feel free to use gendered pronouns for your character if you find it easier to identify them with.
Height: Forest Imps are typically between 2'8" and 3'5" in height.
Senses: Forest Imps have large ears capable of hearing with the capacity of other big-eared mammals. They have perfect night vision, cat-like sense of smell and can sense the presence of magic. They have no sense of taste.
Diet: Despite their sharp teeth, Forest Imps feed entirely on magic. Their primary source is large crystals found throughout the forest that slowly absorb the magical energy from the atmosphere. A crystal about the size of a human fist can supply a single Forest Imp with enough magical energy to last a week. Because of this diet, they lack a traditional digestion system and are unable to swallow.
Vocalisations: One of the primary forms of communication for Forest Imps is primitive vocalisations, most of which take the form of squeaks. They can also yip like small dogs to get another's attention and snarl and growl to warn off predators. When they are happy, they purr; and when they want something, they tend to mew. When upset, they whine like small puppies.
Limbs: All Forest Imps are born with at least two arms and legs and a tail and never have deformities on account of their magical creation. On a very rare occasion, a Forest Imp might have a positive mutation. This includes having four arms like Cysgod, or four legs with a centaur-like body (among other options). Their long tails are fully prehensile, whilst their legs are fairly weak and get tired easily when supporting their full weight, resulting in ape-like postures. On the other hand, their arms are thick and strong, supplying adult human strength despite their toddler-like size. Every Forest Imp hand has three fingers and every Forest Imp foot has two toes.
Other details: About 50% of Forest Imps have some sort of horns. This can vary from goat horns to devil horns to a single unicorn-like horn. These horns are almost always a very light cream colour.

Because of the characters' lack of gender or reproductive urges, there will be no romance. It is up for discussion whether or not the characters know each other before the start of the RP.
Magic is rare. Some of the players might have it. There may be sages or other magical figures that could be sought out for tutelage.
Modern
Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.
No romance at all will be included in this plot, period.
