Players aged 16+ are preferred. If you're a year or so younger than that and feel you're more mature than average, we can discuss things, but there will be extra limits set on RP to keep everyone comfortable regarding the age gap.
This is a multi-paragraph RP. If you feel you can't maintain a pace of about 2 paragraphs average per post, this might not be for you. Also, expect long posts from me early on - don't feel obligated to keep up with them and don't expect them to persist throughout; it'd be mostly due to me setting the scene.

Xá'Taren is captain of the Silver Star, a specially-designed caravel fitted for long-range exploration. It crews 30 loyal High Elf military scouts, all simultaneously led and served by their commanding officer. The one-of-a-kind vessel has been exploring the seas for two weeks now, hoping to reach the coast of a fabled second continent that is said to share this world.

This is a 1x1 scenario.
I'm looking for a partner who can play as either an islander picked up along the way, or a denizen of the unexplored continent who has somehow ended up out at sea (either having ended up on an island or having sailed out there themselves). Any high fantasy race can be amongst those living on that continent, including humans. I'd even allow elves if anyone wants to play a descendent of ancient explorers who had gotten stranded there centuries ago.
The RP will be a mix of sailing, exploring islands and eventually setting foot on the newly discovered continent.
Whilst there won't be romance, platonic bonding can become a key part in the RP if it comes to that.

Whilst I'm currently at a point where I'm low on ongoing RPs, and therefore saying something that might put you off is a really dumb thing to do... I do feel it necessary to say that at the early stages of an RP and also whenever I feel the need later on, I have a tendancy to post massive walls of text which can sometimes even reach up to 10 paragraphs. I just need to make sure you're fine with that before continuing discussions, because I've had a lot of RPers in the past bail on me seemingly because of that reason, and your comment gives the impression that you don't have much experience with multi-paragraph RP. That doesn't mean you have to match my post length if you don't want to of course.
That aside, if you're still interested, do you have a character in mind?
Oh no worries friend I'm more then capable of doing 2 paragraphs I usually do one full paragraph and sometimes 2 but never consistently. Long posts are much better then short sentence replies in my personal opinion so I've got no problems with it at all. I'll be using Astrid seeing how she's already used to the ocean she'd probably fit in all fine and dandy here
