Title says all. I'm a decently well rounded cosplayer (but by no means an expert!), and was wondering if anyone else on here does as well. :)

My list includes: Rey, Black Widow, Mystique,Captain Amelia, Castiel, Dean Winchester, Sam Winchester, and Gabriel. Ones in the works are Fem!Aragorn, Neytiri, the Wasp, Sally from Nightmare before Christmas, Hera (Star Wars), Sabine, Jyn Erso, Hoth Leia, and Dr. Strange.

Curious to know if anyone else cosplays! (Or wants to get into it!)

So...yeah...I'm awful at starting conversations.

I've done some Medieval costuming for the faires, mainly the Abbey Medieval Faire and Banquet every year. I did a crappy Dunedain Ranger costume for a line party for the release of The Two Towers in December 2002. I don't really do it myself but love to see others do it. Some costumes are really well done!
I wish to be someday.

I have worn elf ears (Vulcan ears technically)

I wore a gypsy thing once

I’ve been in cosplay. Never did it that much though, only 5 times. Most of them were events. Here’s a list of them if you’re interested in that I guess...

1. Cindy from final fantasy 15.

2. D.va from OverWatch. That was a year ago.

3. Sora from kingdom hearts. (The first time I cosplayed as a boy :3 )

4. Luke sky walker. (I had short hair at the time so I pulled it off)

5. This one I regret so bad.. Chara from undertale. The cosplay wasn’t that bad, in fact it looked good. It’s just....it was so recent and the game died

Yeah, I might never cosplay again because it’s really expensive and I’m a poor lil’ bean
I dressed up as a nazgul for the opening of ROTK, does that count?! 8)

Ohhh, c'mon with the Chara thing. I've seen plenty of people as her before! Someone came in as Sans this summer to my HeroCon - one of the coolest one's I've seen!

And I get the expense issue. I sew most of mine; there's places you can get stuff cheap. I think the worst payments are actually getting into the conventions...I've started volunteering at set ups and break downs in order to get in free. XD CHEAP IS GREAT!

I'VE GOT VULCAN EARS TOO! (Used them as Elven XD Can't find any actual elven ones that fit!) And RenFest is a great place to start!

The medieval costuming sounds awesome! So awesome! How hard is that to do?

It can be as easy or as hard as one wants. The limiting factor is the $$ and/or the time spent on making them. One can 'buy' fairly complete, if not completely accurate costumes from places like Armstreet, or one can get patterns to make clothing. I myself buy pieces and make something reasonable that wouldn't pass the SCA inspection, but looks cool. I probably add in some fantasy aspects to it.

If you are talking re-enactment costuming, then you have to get the real deal with armour. I got a steel chainmail shirt and it alone weighs 10kg. A full kit weighs much more. I hand it to the folks who go all out, like those of New Varangian Guard. Their melee battle demonstrations at the faire are awesome, and they are really biffing each other with spec weaponry (dulled for safety).
Not a cosplayer in the classical sense of meaning I guess - but I make a lot of my goth outfit myself - mostly kinda Tim-Burtoneske-Steampunky-Victorianage-inspired things. Started sewing and making things myself way back almost two decades ago as being a poor student meant having no money to affort buying expensive Goth stuff + there weren´t any big, fancy shop for those things back then ;)

Plus I am an Early Middle Ages Re-enactor in the term of depicting a warrior and merchant/leather-worker in Celtic and Germanic-Tribe times.

I guess the closest shot in the direction of classical cosplaying would be my Victorian-Age-meets-Steampunk-meets-Deadpool and my Victorian-Age-meets-Hogwards/Hufflepuff-Uniform outfits. (both made by myself of course ;) )

Ahhh...I got mine at our local Renaissance Festival that comes every year and it was at a booth that specifically said "Elf ears," and was run by elves (not real elves, of course. Cosplay elves. But hey, you never know! They were pretty convincing elves! Lol jk jk)

But my point is, it said "elf ears -- Vulcan style." So...I have the reverse situation...I use my elf ears as Vulcan ears and you use your Vulcan ears as elf ears. Sounds about right, considering our respective fandom obsessions!

I wonder how in the world I haven't I been to a Star Trek convention. I need to try that volunteering thing!
I go to an anime convention every summer and usually cosplay. I've done Rose Lalonde and Nepeta Leijon from Homestuck a few times, and I'm working on a Dark Brotherhood cosplay from The Elder Scrolls. I don't cosplay as often as I'd like, though, because of money constraints and my old cosplays not quite fitting me any more, but it's tons of fun when I do! In the future, I'd also like to cosplay a Team Skull grunt from Pokémon, Ahsoka Tano from Star Wars, Kiki from Kiki's Delivery Service, Homura Akemi from Puella Magi Madoka Magica, and a few of my OCs.
