In a world where human-replica androids are banned, can you keep one a secret?
It is 2057. Ten years since the United States of the North Pacific formed. Seven years since the USNP annexed Canada. Five years since World War III turned the rest of the world into the USNP's vassals. It is a time of fascist state hyper-capitalism, where the USNP government itself is a little more than a ruling mega-corporation, the world's biggest businesses its subsidiaries. Earth is a dystopian land, where the rich live in huge lavish penthouses and the poor are squeezed into enormous blocks of tiny apartments, squashed together into congested grids. Many never leave their homes, spending their lives plugged into cheap VR systems, absorbing constant barrages of advertisement amongst glimpses of entertainment. Many roles in society are now performed by robots, primarily cheap and replaceable varieties.

Players aged 16+ are preferred. If you're a year or so younger than that and feel you're more mature than average, we can discuss things, but there will be extra limits set on RP to keep everyone comfortable regarding the age gap.
This is a multi-paragraph RP. If you feel you can't maintain a pace of about 2 paragraphs average per post, this might not be for you. Also, expect long posts from me early on - don't feel obligated to keep up with them and don't expect them to persist throughout; it'd be mostly due to me setting the scene.

This idea is inspired by a lot of different sci-fi franchises, really. There's an element of Blade Runner, Detroit BH, Ghost in the Shell, Observer...
I'm going to be using Kiro here as a humanoid-replica android for this plot. I'll stick with his simian form, as genetic modification is a thing in this world (a very rare and expensive thing), which will only add to the pressures of trying to keep the fact that he's an android secret (given he'd already draw a lot of attention). Add in some glitches that might occur every now and then...
Though I can work the starter scenario around your character, my default choice would favour someone playing a police detective, thief or criminal... basically someone who has a reason for breaking into an illegal laboratory.
I guess you could say the general themes in this idea are based around slice-of-life with a bit of a thriller twist.
I'd rather do this one one-on-one, and obviously, there won't be romance.
No magic at all.
Near future, perhaps cloning and genetic manipulation
Unrest may be part of the setting, but any scenes that happen to involve combat may be summarized.

Another thing I forgot to add is that I prefer to play as rouge's or theives anyways and am flexible about the roles.
