In 2101, the Lunar Assembly's Freedom and Diversity majority government voted through a law allowing what they called 'Furry Re-assignment Surgery'. In 2118, the government issued an illegal independence referendum, causing a crackdown from the United Nations of Earth, resulting in the disbandment of the devolved Lunar government. In 2124, Earth law took effect on Luna, once again banning Furry Re-assignment Surgery.
It is now 2128. It is a time where the occasional rare furry might be spotted amongst the crowds, particularly on the space stations, where more liberal views are expressed. Though still no strangers to abuse, they at least walk the streets without significant mistreatment. As an unexpected side effect, offspring of at least one furry parent have been born with some animal features.

Players aged 16+ are preferred. If you're a year or so younger than that and feel you're more mature than average, we can discuss things, but there will be extra limits set on RP to keep everyone comfortable regarding the age gap.
This is a multi-paragraph RP. If you feel you can't maintain a pace of about 2 paragraphs average per post, this might not be for you. Also, expect long posts from me early on - don't feel obligated to keep up with them and don't expect them to persist throughout; it'd be mostly due to me setting the scene.

So I felt like trying something different here. I plan to play the hybrid furry AU version of my character Hóng along with my character Kiro, who will be taking the role of Hóng's adopted son. Hóng had furry re-assignment surgery when he was 12 (he's now 23). Kiro was born with his simian features on account of one of his birth parents being a furry.
This RP will be 1x1 and is open to both human and furry characters. Characters bordering on full-on anthro might also be accepted.
Though this RP will mostly be slice-of-life, it could potentially lead to more if the characters end up getting involved with some of the background plots.
