It's Halloween, and a bunch of teens are celebrating it in one of the many popular manners - a costume party! But when an evil spell hits the venue, turning the party-goers into real-life versions of their costumes, everything changes. An adventure awaits those brave enough to track down the being that had caused this weird event.

Players aged 16+ are required. It's partly a personal comfort thing, but also there are dark/horror themes involved in this RP. Nothing particularly excessive, but the concept itself is kinda dark.
This is a multi-paragraph RP. If you feel you can't maintain a pace of about 2 paragraphs average per post, this might not be for you. Also, expect long posts from me early on - don't feel obligated to keep up with them and don't expect them to persist throughout; it'd be mostly due to me setting the scene.

The local youth centre is hosting a costume party for kids aged 13-18! Bowls of candy fill large tables spanning much of the main hall's length. Spoopy decorations hang from various locations, whilst costumed guests dance and mingle to the ever-present backdrop of music. It's a happy and fun - if not crowded and busy - event... at least, until the power goes out. A few seconds later, and the lights pop back on... but something has changed. A number of the guests have become their costumes! Werewolves... vampires... ghosts... zombies... skeletons... traditional and non-traditional costumes alike have been replaced with a realistic likeness of the creatures they represent!
Braving the terrifying event, a bunch of teens gather together to chase down the cause of this horror. Finding a portal to another dimension in a utility closet, they set forth to restore their friends and peers back to normal.

First and foremost, despite the group-friendly nature of this setting, I'm only going to be doing 1x1s for this scenario. Groups have a habit of dying before anything really interesting happens in my experience.
Multiple of my characters (both on RPR and not on RPR), as well as some made up on the spot will play supporting roles in this, and some of them will be making up the group that goes on the quest, but I'll mainly be playing my character Solas, who for this setting would be a 15 year old boy who had chosen to dress as a moogle for the party. You're free to play up to 3 characters, but playing just 1 is perfectly fine if you prefer.
It's up to you whether the character(s) you play have been affected by the spell or not. Your character(s) can either be party guests (aged 13-18) or volunteer staff (aged mostly 18-24, though older is possible).
The RP will begin before the spell hits to set the scene.
Magic is common.
Modern
Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.
