Hey! You want to get out a writing urge, or have hit a wall? Just come here! How this works is that someone posts a single sentence, and the person beneath them can make a short story about it. It can involve their characters, but it doesn't have too. After they finish their story, they put their sentence at the end of their post for the next person.

Rules:
1. At least 1 paragraph, be creative!
2. If it's long, put it in a collapse.
3. don't break a forum rule
4. Go hog wild here!
5. (as long as you don't break rules 1,2, and 3, that is)

Here's a starter:

One Last Boss.
One Last Boss

The hero's untimely death triggered a mocking jingle as the villain's laugh felt like salt to Nicandro's wounds. "Damn it!" He cried. The ebony-haired male raised his hand to throw the game...

...until he lowered it slowly and sighed deeply out of frustration.

He grumbled to himself, "Stupid OP boss...Stupid party members with low mana...Stupid hero with weak magic..."

A knock seemed to snap him out of his post-battle stupor. "Nica!" His mother called out from behind the door. "You need to sleep! You have an SAT tomorrow, remember?" The teenager groaned out an affirmative begrudgingly and hid the game console under his pillow. He then waited for a while until he saw the lights go out and the house fall silent.

Once he was sure that no one was awake except himself, he cautiously pulled out his game, put on his earphones, made himself comfortable, and faced the boss again.

He smirked to himself. "One last boss," he thought.
Shoot, I just realized that I didn't add a starter for the next person!

Let's make it... "Why Did You Think This Was A Good Idea?"
Lyv stood outside the cell which locked Siira inside. It was one of her last days to draw breath before her execution, and Lyv couldn't stand the wonder on why she would have mated with their blood enemies, the Lumni.

"I just do not understand you, Siira," Lyv began, "after everything their kind did and tried to do. After we finally remove them from our world....you run out and bear a child with one?" Siira nodded solomnly in response. She knew her mate better than she knew most of her own species anymore, and nothing Lyv was going to say would change how she felt about this.

"What made you think this was a good idea?" Lyv asked, with sincere and expectant eyes. Siira stared hard at the floor for several long moments, wondering herself why she would do this. The answer was clear, easy and simple.

"You know why I mated with him?" Siira asked, only moving her eyes to meet Lyv's after the statement was finished.

"Because I love him, that is why"

yes sorry, I thought it would be cool to incorporate the next line into the story I wrote. I now see how it could be confusing I suppose

Thanks, it's a play off this characters back story.
With hurried breaths, Rielle slammed the door closed but Ysabel quickly followed her and swung the door open. The former was sobbing loudly as her friend was fuming - one could swear that they saw smoke coming out of her ears. Ysabel screamed, "What the hell, Rie!? Why would he say that!?" Said girl could only whimper pitifully as she answered, "I-I don't know, Ysabel! Maybe he just--!"

She was interrupted by Ysabel. "No Rielle! He doesn't appreciate you enough! What kind of asshole says to a girl who so clearly loves him, 'I want to fall so badly for you but I can't'!?"

With a flash of anger, her grey eyes bore into her companion's brown orbs. "I see things that you don't. The smiles we share. The hugs we gave each other. The conversations we have had over the years; he was my friend before all this happened and I just fell for him! That's it!" Suddenly, rough hands grasped at her shoulder as Ysabel said quietly, "...How can you still be so tolerant towards him? How can you bear to see him when you know you can't have him?" Rielle couldn't bear to look at the brunette before her.

All was silent.

Slowly, she raised her head to look Ysabel in the eye and, with a sad smile, she whispered, "Because I love him, that's why."

Is he a good guy? I threw a bottle of deodorant at him...

A thump, and a second later the tinkling, crashing sound of breaking glass echoed through the house. "Crap, crap, crap crap crap!" followed soon after in a mutter, and the quieter tinkle of someone sweeping up the shards of whatever had broken. Or trying to, at any rate, as soon there was the sound of a cruuuuuunch as well, followed by more cursing.

Yeah, needless to say, Tony was not having a good day. Not only had he gotten a ticket for trying to speed to work, he'd been been late (a situation he'd been trying to avoid by the aforementioned speeding), leading to a thorough chewing out from his boss. On the way back, he'd narrowly avoided a crash on the way home, having to exchange insurance information before he could get away from that, and then when he was nearly home, he realized he'd forgotten it was his anniversary. So yeah, after racing away to hurriedly buy a card and a cheap gift, he'd come home...and then, intending to flop down on the bed to relax for a few moments, he'd thrown his arm out just a fraction of an inch too far--and knocked over his wife's favorite vase from their bedside dresser.

So yeah, today was most definitely not his day, and his heart plummeted even more when he heard the door open. Of course I knew none of this when I first walked through the front door, having gone to shop for groceries and a few other things. I only knew my husband was nowhere in sight, when he was normally at least lounged on the couch to greet me. Still carrying the paper sack full of random necessities, I went looking for him--and found him giving me a tentative smile--and the absence of that vase I loved, not to mention a smear of blood on the floor that he was desperately trying to clean up (He'd stepped on a bit of the glass after thinking he'd gotten it all, and had had to bandage his foot). "Tony? Where's the vase?"

He rubbed his neck sheepishly, and launched into a long-winded explanation of his day. Growing more and more impatient with what sounded like the longest buildup to an excuse known to mankind, my expression deepened into a scowl. "Tony," I interrupted. "Where is the vase?" My day hadn't been the best, either--but we can get into that later, maybe, if I feel like telling you.

Needless to say, when he finally fessed up that he'd broken it, I am not afraid to admit I screeched in a most undignified manner, picked the first thing out of the top of the bag and threw it at his head--a bottle of deodorant. There was a reason the vase was my favorite--it had been a gift from my mother at our wedding. And now...that memory, gone!

Ugh! I stalked off, but immediately regretted it. It was one memory. I regretted asking myself 'is he a good guy?' I threw a bottle of deodorant at him...but dammit, I still loved the guy, and he was really trying, so hard. He could have left that mess for me to clean up, but he had done his best, bless his clumsy heart. Finally, after a bit to cool down, I returned to help him clean it up, with the proper cleaning materials. I wasn't going to let a lousy start and one small accident ruin our special day...

Come on, man, it's just one little trip!
