So for the past two weeks my ankles have been getting this slight pain in them and it wasn't until recently the past few days did the pain just crank up like the music at a late night party at a house that a teen's parent's wouldn't be home for. Basically I was in almost tears the whole day I've been walking back and forth from 10pm yesterday to about 1:30pm today when I finally got home after being at the clinic and whatnot.

They had taken x-rays of both my ankles and turns out I have bone spurs? I've never really heard of it tbh but surprise, surprise it turns out my grandma has also had them too but idk if they're a hereditary sort of thing. Who knows. So now I'm currently laying in bed, trying to ignore the throbbing hell that is my sore ankles and also relieved because I had to set up a leave of absence with work. Mainly due to the fact that the clinic wanted me to stay off my feet as much as possible but I work retail and a 3rd shift stocker no less! So that kind of thing would sadly not work out at all as the only jobs that would allow me to sit down are the registers which I'm not coded for let alone trained on doing.

So yeah, now I gotta wait until next friday to see this new doctor who will be able to explain to me what the hell is going on and if I would need surgery or not for this kind of thing because that's apparently something that might have to be done depending on how bad it is.

I hurt so, so much.
Sorry you're in pain, my friend. That sounds awful.

*hugs*

My friend has bone spurs or a bone spur in her knee and she says it's no fun, but she hasn't gotten anything done yet. I don't think it's as incapacitating as yours, and she works sitting down. Well I'm glad you got leave off work and hopefully they'll train and let you work the register.

Oh, I know that one thing she has gotten are steroid shots in the knee and they have her on certain anti-inflammatory drugs. Anyway, I hope you feel better. That's a rough thing to deal with.

It's alright but thank you. ;v; I'm just glad I was able to get it figured out as to what was going on since I thought I might've sprained my ankle or something.

Ooh yeah they sound painful to have in the knee! Though I think I would rather that then where they're at currently lol. I don't think they'll train me to work register since I'd have to apply for the position and to be honest, I have a really bad anxiety and that position wouldn't work out for me at all. Whereas with stocker I don't have to deal with customers as much save for like the few that just ask me where something is located.

Yeah I'm not sure if I'll just need injections and an anti-inflammatory medication or if they're going to have to do surgery on it. I'm hoping that it's just the injections since I kinda wanna work on getting monies saved up for the convention trip I wanna go to in september.

Ah...I see. About the stocking and interacting with customers thing. Totally get that. Well I hope it works out the best way it can.
*pats face*

That's....big oof. I hope the pain lessens soon (or even goes fully away), and I hope it's not surgery required! Feel better soon, and let us know what the doc says^^

Doctor update!

So I went in to see the doctor about what's going on and thankfully there won't be any surgery required at the moment. The bone spurs are small but will need to be kept an eye on over the years if they get too out of hand. Other than that though he thinks there's some fluid in my left ankle causing the pain and so I'm gonna be stuck in a boot for two weeks to try and get it relieved of the pressure. My right ankle will be then up next since apparently my ligaments are really stretched in them to and he told me I shouldn't be able to bend my foot completely on it's side like I can.

So hurrah for no surgery but I'm still gonna be stuck on LOA from work ;v;
