Hello, I am looking for someone to do a descriptive sci-fi roleplay with. This will be a long-term roleplay, so I’d like someone who is capable of keeping things interesting over a period of time. As a large roleplay, there will be multiple characters required - I will not rp all characters, to make things interesting the partner will also need to create and control multiple side-characters. Due to university starting up soon, I will likely reply at odd times beyond the 23rd, but will always make sure to warn you if I need to take a day off or more to work on projects and assignments - as a Sound to Film student, my work will be hands-on, so may not always have the time to tap out a detailed reply so will wait till the next opportunity. As such, please do not be discouraged if I don’t reply for a day - I will warn you as stated
As for the roleplay, the story of it will be that your character - male or female - is part of a colonisation crew sent out to a station in orbit around the planet of Ophus 9. The year is 2608, September 18th. First contact with aliens happened over 300 years prior, and so far they have only met one species - the reptilian Voss. Although highly intelligent and long-lived, the Voss are on the verge of extinction after their homeworld Ameron was destroyed by another species they call Tauvon. They have yet to find a world with the correct temperature variance required, and now have an imbalanced male to female ratio, leading most humans to believe that they are an all-male race. Anyway, Ophus 9 has some mild swamp areas that, while useless to your character and his/her fellow humans, might be of interest to the Voss, and so upon waking from cryo, your character and her/his friends/family will be introduced to the first Voss crewmember - medic, tech, and pilot, Sollus. From there the roleplay will grow and turn depending on what happens. For other details, we can discuss on a private post or in the comments as you see fit so I can write the starter to fit.
Rules are simple.
As I will for you, warn me if you need to stop rping for a day or more.

Have good spelling and punctuation - I’m no grammar Nazi and am dyslexic, but even so it hurts to read something with no punctuation and is mispelled to heck.
Romance can occur if you wish, although I will warn you beforehand that my main char, Sollus, is considered old by both human and Voss standards, having calculated his own lifespan from now on to be at least 80 years, and being just under one-thousand.
Do not control my chars and I won’t control yours.
Aside from aliens, there are no supernaturals, although characters may be implanted with subtle biotics that enhance abilities - I mean the kind of thing from Mass Effect, so those with certain implants can temporarily cloak themselves for up to a minute at a time with a realistic cool-down period, or hurl something heavy or create a brief force-field. Emphasis on subtle - anything wired to the brain can damage it if it overloads.
And most important: HAVE FUN! This is gonna take many twists and turns hopefully, but it should be fun for us to do

No magic at all.
Far future, perhaps galactic teleporters and fast terraforming
Combat is woven into the storyline and could come to the forefront if the characters seek it out.
Details: Occasional dice use, adjustable length posts, long-term RP partner preferred.
