The Haunting of Beaumont place is an interactive RP game I'm gonna host from October 12th - 19th on discord! It's a live action role play, and takes place in Louisiana 1901.
It's heavily inspired by Betrayal, Mafia, and Cluedo - not to worry though, folks, it's definitely a role play. It's rated PG13 and the themes are horror and mystery (for Halloween month, woo)!
Everyone is welcome. We're not a very strict community, but the characters are limited to realism. We have freeform style writing, but the Admins do use dice and have hidden character statistics to help us in the game!
Here's a snippet:
The Beaumont Place, near Taconey, Louisiana, was originally built in 1653 to Charles and Sarah Beaumont, French nobility and exploration leaders. The mansion is massive, spanning more than 100 acres, and has been marked with unfortunate tragedy. In 1688, most of the family and staff perished to an unknown assailant - a mass slaughter.
Since then, the family has been reclusive. Locals say the place is haunted. It's rumored that people go missing there... besides the rumors, a few additional tragedies have taken place. In 1704, a young boy from town was found dead in a well on the property. In 1745, a fire burned down one wing of the house (and property staff with it). In 1780, George Beaumont hung himself on the property.
Of course, there are those who believe the Beaumont's are behind these crimes and there's no such thing as ghosts. But sometimes, on a foggy night, people who are out late walking by the property swear they've been the ghosts of the deceased staring through the windows...
