A group of novice mercenaries find themselves given the proverbial - and literal - boot from the city they'd based themselves out of, following a betrayal by their once-respected mentor and benefactor. Now, with precious information on their hideouts sold to rival bands by the treasonous teacher, the naive newcomers find themselves set in a hostile, unforgiving world with nowhere to turn, nowhere to hide, and vengeance foremost on their minds.
A sobering lesson in trust in a dark and bloody underworld; how will they repay their treasonous former employer, while avoiding becoming a much more unpleasant sort of victim?
