It's July 2nd, and on the RP Repository, that means Moderator Appreciation Day!What is Moderator Appreciation Day, I hear you ask? This is a day where we celebrate the work that moderators do, all over the 'net. Yes, of course it's for our extremely hard working site moderators, to whom I am forever grateful, but it's not just for them. I'm know there are other moderators in your life, too, making the vastness of the internet a little safer. Moderators of RPR groups. Moderators of Facebook Groups. Moderators of Discords. Moderators of forums.
There's a lot going on in my life, and quite a lot of tumult happening in the world. There's plenty to be stressed about, and I think many of us find ourselves shorter on spoons than we have been in the past. That also holds true for moderators; but they keep showing up for us anyway.
If you've found a corner of the internet that you love, there are almost certainly mods doing more than you know in order to keep your online experience from being overrun by bots, trolls, and other sea monsters that inhabit the deeps of the internet. Please take a moment to send a thank you note to the various mods in your life today. They are doing so much unseen work.
Today, let's take time to remember that moderators are people who find time, energy and love to help grow, protect and nurture online communities. They are almost always unpaid volunteers working a frequently thankless job. But not today!

Thank you, moderators, for everything you do! RPR wouldn’t be a fantastic site without you!
Thank you, mods! It's often a thankless job, but it must be done.

Thank you all for your kind words, and thank you to all the mods out there who make the internet a better place! You are truly the unsung heroes of modern society.
I love love love moderating for RPR, and I appreciate the people who make our jobs a little bit easier with grace and understanding.
@archivalist That's because on the back end for mods, we have something called "vacation mode" where our name will be removed from the bottom of the forums while life has us busy. This makes it less likely that users will reach out to vacation mode mods for help directly, which could go without a response if the mod in question is presently inactive. When we pop off vacation mode, our name appears there again.
Spoons have been pretty low across the board lately, which would explain why the list isn't looking especially lengthy at the moment. Most of us are still chipping away at the queues behind the scenes, though, regardless!

Thanks to all the mods who are always there to jump in fix things when stuff goes sideways, particular spam bots posting.
Thank you moderators! You look out for each and every one of us and it takes a lot. You are greatly appreciated and a huge part of this amazing community!! ❤️
Thank you, moderators! Without all of your hard work, I wouldn't have a nice and safe home for my ocs and hobby.
Thank you mods for all of your help! I appreciate having been so blessed with an opportunity to work alongside such a supportive group of diligent, smart, dedicated, creative, and compassionate individuals. You’ve taught me things, broadened my perspectives, made me feel heard, and even have let me lean on you, while also having trusted me as a person to lean on in turn. I’m a better team player because of you. I cannot express the amount of gratitude I feel for knowing your friendships, nor can I emphasize the growth it’s made possible for me. Just know that I see you, I love you, and I’ll carry some of the most bizarre yet sentimental memories for the rest of my life. Thanks for being the best team.
Hats off to you all for exemplary work. Yore always quick to mash the ad-bots that pop up in the middle of North American night.
I’ve noticed the list of mods at the bottom of the forums has been slowly shrinking.

Thank you all for all you do. Thanks for being kind to me and showing me the right way to post things or where to post them. I appreciate it!
Thanks so muh mod for this beautiful site!
Thank you dear mods, you're doing a wonderful job, keep it up!
RPR's mods pretty much defined my expectation of what good, caring community moderation should look like.

Thank you, Moderators, for all of your hard work and efforts to keep this place safe!

Yes, Moderators with a big M, there could be appreciation day, every day. Thanks people, not enough times it is said that you do great job, really. All day long reading our nonsense and controlling if we are in limits, plus all these messages and demands and zapping bots…
I like you all!!!
Oh and Lizbeth bot-hunter will be continuously on duty😉
