Hey! Is there anyone else here who does any alternative photography? I'm currently doing a course on early alternative photography techniques and I want to gush to some people about how much I love it without boring my friends. It's not that I don't think they're interested, I just want someone who will understand my frustrations and my achievements in the same way anoth photographer would!
So far I've done lithographs, cyanotype, Van Dyke and later today I'll be doing kallitype for the first time. I'm so nervous about trying to do art with a respirator on. Tha goodness the technician is here or else I would be so terrified.
I'm also experimenting with knit fabric as my canvass rather than just paper, but I've done a bunch of watercolour paper, some vellum and a tiny bit of another type of really expensive paper I can't remember the name of, but I would only buy it if I was for sure going to do photos on it.
So, anyone else in the same boat or is it just me?
