Dungeon Master (played anonymously)

Two crossbow bolts were found in the body of the King of Ramsburrow in the capital city of Rhaynos! The Kings son had been plotting for weeks and eventually, finally, did it! The king had been shot in the stomach and in the heart before tumbling out of his balcony, dropping nearly ten stories and landing dead on the stone walkway bellow. The guards have put out a 1,000 gold piece bounty on the Rogue Prince, and another hundred gold to be added every day he is not found! Or that's what they say... The four of you are leaving the castle around the same time having just signed up to collect the bounty once found. You do not have to work together but you assume it will not only be faster that way, but safer as well!

((You each begin with 10 gold, potions are 5 gold each and arrows for our archer are 1 gold per arrow. You can hold a max of twenty! Anything you do I will have a response for, good luck!!)
Songay (played anonymously)

Songay had only just arrived in the capital. Wandering for weeks on foot and by horse, odd jobs here and there had paid her way; retrieving an item there, assisting in negotiations there and even at one point, dancing. Not a skill she had thought she would ever use after her escape, but, it had brought in enough coin for her not to have to sleep rough for a week.

The motley group that she had ended up a part of to seek the Prince were... if nothing else, interesting. Dressed in light leather armour in varying charcoal and ebony shades, she was lightly armed yet seemed amiable enough. Easy to approach, easy to converse with yet guardedly secretive concerning her past.
Relic Earth-Breaker (played anonymously)

Relic stood tall above the rest of the group, he was about three feet taller then them and he wished he wasn't, they had seemed nice enough but he still felt out of place. At least a varient elf or dwarf of some kind might make him feel better. But three humans and a freak, that made him feel uncomfortable, "where look first for Teifling Prince?" His language skills were there he just didn't use proper grammar sometimes, however he was unaware that he was saying anything incorrectly.

An Axe sat on his back with the carvings of a dragon head on one blade, and on the opposite blade a lion head. To him, whenever he attacked someone for a heroic cause he would use the lion side of the axe, and for any attack inspired by rage or revenge he used the dragon side. Where the axe came from how ever was a mystery, he had raised himself in a house that he had just woke up in one day, and that's where he found his axe and tough, heavy like armor. "Lots of bounty hunter look for bad Prince, better be smart if want to find him first... Name Relic," he said breaking the silence.
Nyrana (played by Bookworm)

Nyra inspected her flute with a hum in her throat and a skip in her step. Her boots clicked at each one, her hair and cape swaying at each movement. Her emerald eyes turned to the Half Giant, a cheery smile on her face. "I'd expect the Vile Prince has burrowed himself into a hole with other vermin until he and his accomplices can take the empty castle when we less expect it. But fear not! I believe in the upcoming future, we will have the Rogue Prince's head on a pike and we will all sing in honor of the fallen ruler with endless amounts of ale and company!"

The bard chuckled, sheathing the flute in its wooden case before tucking it away in her belt. She had originally appeared in the capital to look for such a quest as this. A quest worthy to be made into a song or story! And now, the kings death might be redeemed if they accomplish this quest and bring his killer to his judgment, or his restless spirit might curse them with misfortune if they fail.

Either way, Nyra would not be discouraged by any means.
Christofer had just made his way to the town and was a bit worn out By the jorney. Taking a quick, vague look around, he made his way to a stone wall and sat on the ower part of it. The boy lifted his legs up, feeling relieved, and started to massage them. After a long walk, the town felt like a blessing. He'd have a chance to go ask of his whereabouts after his feet would have rested a bit...

While he was doing some stretching, he overheard people talking. Appearently someone was dead. The person most likely wasn't someone he knew though, so he just shrugged it off. For all he knew, it could have just been some rumour that they had passing around the town, so there was a good chance that he would never truly have to get in touch with it...

@Songay- Traveling in a group seems safer to you, less chance of being recognized. Flashes of memory appear of you being the escort of your Teifling master to this castle and meeting the King and Prince nearly five years ago. The Prince seemed kind, not at all how the guards are saying he was. But these memories aren't as interesting as this girl you met in the castle, Nyra? Was her name?? Her face looks almost familiar, but you can't place it... What would you like to do?

@Relic- You feel left out, but start to feel better after a few minutes. Although you are the only non-human, your in the company of a slave and a bard. Not the type to judge you without first looking closer at you. You begin to relax and think more about how to find this Prince, maybe ask around? Your mind begins to think, he was a Prince, and Princess like princesses probably. Your zero intelligence tells you to ask someone if any princesses are near by, what would you like to do?

@Nyra- You remember stories of King Harry, he was awful to his guards and serving staff, but rumors had spoke of the abuse to his son. These were just rumors however, Prince York is still on the wanted poster in your hand and must be found. Along with that many people feel comforted by the stories you tell of the king not being as bad as the Prince, it gives them comfort to have a scape goat and do they usually tip you well, you have 20 gold instead of ten like Relic and Songay! What would you like to do??

@Toffi- Your stomach growled as the morning grew into afternoon but you turn out your pockets and find that your out of coin, completely broke! Making your way further into the Capital you see these wanted posters for a Teifling Prince. The reward that high peaked your interest, and you head to the castle when you see three people heading out a half-giant and two people, you see the wanted poster in your hands. What would you like to do?
Songay (played anonymously)

Songay found groups to be stressful; at least in the long term. Often, too many questions followed the longer she remained. The castle had struck a chord of memory - the metal cold about her throat, walking a few steps behind her Master with her eyes lowered, yet taking furtive glances at her surroundings where possible - and so, there was at least some familiarity. The sing-song nature of the bard's proclamation caught her interest, and it was at least good to see someone so optimistic as to their chances of finding someone.

"Have you been to the capital many times before? Are crimes common here?"

rolled 1d20 and got 19
1d20 for charisma to find out information

Relic Earth-Breaker (played anonymously)

While the rogue went to ask someone about the cities crimes Relic watched the guy approach, reaching his hand on his back to grip the handle of his axe, he looked at the man (Toffi) who approached. "Who are you," Relic had to look at the wanted poster then at the man, seeing that he wasn't a Teifling Relic removed his hand from his axe. "You search for Prince York too???"
Nyrana (played by Bookworm)

The bard nodded her head eagerly before quickly jumping onto a box next to her. She looked along the streets, crowded with merchants, nobles, beggers, and thieves. "I have been to the lovely capital, yes! May it be with or without my master. And to answer your other question, there is crime here, in villages, in towns, in the farmlands, on the roads! Everywhere! Name a place, area, and there is some kind of crime there! Look around you, my dear! Those merchants there, they are selling weeks old meat and selling it like it is fresh to gullible men, that begger near the tavern, he is not sick or injured, just too lazy to get food or money himself! And that man, dressed in dark, he is pickpocketing people as they pass him. Lovely place, isn't it?"

Nyra jumped down, barely making a sound. "But you do not see me running off to tell the first authority I see, do you? The way of life, I have learned, is to go with it. People eagerly accept the shiny, dirty lies for false hope. But to be honest, I did not join this little for the coin, only the story. Imagine the praise I would get after all this!" She chuckled, tightening her hair behind her. "Rather persuasive, hm? I see a bard in you, yet you don't look it. I have a guess, but it would be rude to blurt it out for all ears to hear!"
He turned the poster around, tilted his head and looked around. He had no clue who the person was; they seemed to be of the 'noble side' of the population, but he just couldn't tell what was going on with it...

His stomach growling returned him back to the moment. He had gone withough food for quite a whie... To be honest, Christofer could not remember when was the last time he ate anything at all. He couldn't really bear to look at the tents or anything, he didn't have a single coin to spare - the the person who gave him the bow probably robbed him...
No ideas and nothing to prove it, the boy took the poster with him.

He could pick out some people gathered around a large statue, and at least one of them seemed rather cheery. Maybe they knew who the person was?

When the 'statue' moved however, Christofer was just an inch away from a heart attack - propably let out some scared sound too. Heavens. Was that person a giant? What? He was confused, but also scared. The axe scared him even more and he held up the poster to protect his head - not that it would help much if the giant decided to hit him.

"Please don't hurt me..!" the boy partly whimpered. He couldn't say it in any more confident way. It was good enough that he kept standing and didn't flop on place

A wave of relief washed over him as the giant drew away his axe, maybe he wouldn't crush him to mush now.
Bit shyly, he held up the poster.

"... Do you know who he is.....?"

@Songay- You approached an old human wizard by luck and the figure smiles at you, "you have a lot of spunk..." Looking into his crystal ball he looks back to her, "once a slave now a rogue... Searching for another rogue." The Wizard's finger nails pulled the smoke of the crystal ball away, "why do you seem the Prince, you know in your heart the rumors are true... King Harry was an evil man and if the Prince really did kill him it would be for the better." The Wizards eyes begin to glow, "but if you truly do seek the Red Prince, you will find him where short stones stand on water, and where the land smells of fish..." The Wizard's eyes stopped glowing and he smiling opening a book and beginning to write something in Dwarven.

@Relic- The man is scared of you, now that he is no threat to the group this makes you feel pretty bad, but also Nyra said that there was a pick pocket over there. And you don't want a pick pocket to take you money, what do you do???

@Nyra- Your speech was heard by no one, no charisma dice was rolled so your voice was drowned out by the hussel and bustle of the streets of the capital. Just then a Halfling tugs on your pant leg, he looks to be a sailor, "can I have my box of netting back?" It had fallen off his cart and he saw you standing on something so he came back and found his box thanks to you. "My captain will be pretty mad if I don't get this netting back to our ship..."

@Toffi- The hunger is overwhelming, I'm gonna roll a 1D4, if it is a 1 Relic can't hear your stomach growl, if it is a 4 most people in the area can hear your stomach! Then three and two are in between...

rolled 1d4 and got 1
Toffi's Tummy...

Songay (played anonymously)

Songay twitched slightly at the blunt mention of her past, even as the smoke and the ball intrigued her. The bard's bold declaration nearby was heard but not paid the fullest of attention to. When those eyes began to glow however, her hands laid flat on the table and she leant close... all senses straining to hear everything that he said. Once the 'moment' had passed however, she paused before motioning over the nearest bartender and discreetly slipped him a few coins. "Highest quality dwarven drink for that fellow, please." He had helped, after all.

Making her way back to the group, she looked attentive. Troubled slightly, but alert. "I have a clue towards the location of where he has gone..."
Relic Earth-Breaker (played anonymously)

Relic felt bad that he had scared the guy so he knelt down and smiled, "name Relic, want join our hunt to find Prince of rogue??" He pulled a coin out of his pack and handed it to the ranger and then looked over at the pick pocket take a coin purse from a sailor, walking over to the thief he motioned for the ranger to follow. Picking the pick pocket up by his collar he gritted his teeth, "thief stealing is bad!"

rolled 1d20 and got a natural 10. After the modifier of +1, got 11
Intimidation on the Pick Pocket!

Nyrana (played by Bookworm)

The bard chuckled to herself, sitting herself by the wall near them. "Do share with us on what that clue might be, dear lady?" She asked her, taking her flute from her belt from its sheath before creating a lite tune, not entirely meant for anyone attention, just for her own pleasure of playing the song she dedicated to her master.

rolled 1d20 and got a natural 1. After the modifier of +2, got 3
Charisma for the possibility for a few coins from bystanders.

"Huh?" He looked at the poster he had in his hands. "Is this a Prince? Or like 'the prince'? The one that everyone is talking about?"

The boy tilted his head at the poster. Who knew. Such strange quick rumour, but it might aswell be true now...

As the giant, Relic seemed to be their name, gave him a coin he got confused again.
"You want me to come with you?" Christofer asked while he looked at the coin and turned it around with a small movement of his fingers. Now he at least had something, although it wasn't much and probably wasn't enough to buy him all that much food, but he would take a look later on...

@Songay- Seeing as how you are outside the nearest brewer was a street merchant, "Certainly Miss." Pouring the wizard cheap Orcish grog colored like fine ale he served it to the Wizard unknowing to you. The Wizard took a sip and smiled, holding his vomit in his mouth so you couldn't tell that your gift of grog was horrible...

@Relic- The pick pocket dropped his loot and the man he stole it from thanks you giving you (the bellow)amount of gold in his thanks! The pick pocket scurries off vanishing into an ally before you can speak further with him.

@Nyra- Your song is a little flat, and a fruit salesman throws a Tomato at you. ((1-10 he misses, 11-18 he hits you, 19-20 he hits you in the face.))
--Edit: He Misses--

@Toffi- To your knowledge a gold piece will buy you one fairly nice meal, not super fancy but like a good ol' home style meal with a glass of water or milk.

rolled 1d10 and got a natural 8. After the modifier of +9, got 17
Relic's Current Gold!

rolled 1d20 and got 4
Fruit Vendors Tomato Throw!

Songay (played anonymously)

Songay was quite oblivious - but hopefully the gesture would be sufficient. She then made to head in the direction of the others, with the information. With that, and at the question, she relayed the information to the bard. "Fish-smells and short stones standing on water. The fish smell makes me think of the coast fairly easily..."
Relic Earth-Breaker (played anonymously)

Relic returned to join the others, "Relic knows where Prince is!" The thoughts in his head had finally clicked, "all Prince's look for Princess, York no different!" Feeling quite pleased with himself laid two gold coins down at the Outdoor Brewer and stuck his hand up for two drinks! One for him and one for his new Ranger friend, he liked the city, it was exiting!!

rolled 1d20 and got 9
Intelligence Check on the Brewer?

Nyrana (played by Bookworm)

Nyra flinched and stuck her tongue out at the merchant. "Buger off, you slimy maggot!" She cursed, sheathing her flute before making her way to the others. She turned to Relic, a smile on her face. "Very good, my friend, you are right on that! I believe the pretty maiden has a clear idea as well. Is there another kingdom near the coast, anyone?"
He looked at the giant and refused the order that Relic made once he realized that the other drink was ment for him.

"No no no... I... I don't drink...." The statement was mostly true, but what made him refuse more was the look that the brewer gave him: it made him feel anxious, almost disgusted. "Give it to someone else or just... Order for yourself.."
But just in case the brewer was still looking at him, he tried to hide his true feelings so that they wouldn't start suspecting anything or get hurt by his statement. The best he could do was to give them a small smile for an appology, but they weren't going to get anything more from him.

".... You know" he started "wait here and drink your drink. I'll have to go get something..." Christofer looked around, noticing a rather mean shopkeeper that partly annoyed him. It wasn't a common thing for Toffi to even think of stealing anything, yet now he was really considering on doing that. Stealing might have been wrong but he was hungry and this guy looked mean and to his eyes, deserved to be punished...

The boy took off the top layer of his clothes to look different from his usual self. He then folded the clothes neatly and gave them to Relic.
"Hold these. I'll be back before you even know that I left" This wasn't ment to be a stating towards anyone's intelligence, but instead just an assurance that he'd be back in no time and wasn't going to leave the others.
The boy pulled the hood over his head and started to slowly and carefully sneak over to the shopkeeper. He was seemingly selling some food items, so he could hit 'two birds with one stone' as some strange saying goes. Christofer would hide in the shade until the man would look away and then he would snatch some food for himself and run away - to the other direction of course - not wanting to cause harm for the group until he would have lost the shopkeeper...
