They year is 2075 and New Miami street haven't gotten better, only worse! Crime is at an all time high since Humans began "evolving" into half man half machine highbrids known as Cyborgs! But on this fateful night in New Miami a cop named Grant Newgate entered an old abandoned library after weeks of chasing a serial killer known as "The Warlock".
The Warlock seemed to be lighting people on fire from the inside, but not anymore! Drawing his pistol, Grant moved into the library slowly where his partner Higgins was strapped to a chair! "Higgins, what have you gotten yourself into this time?" But before Higgins could earn our hero The Warlock lot him up! Higgins screamed as the criminal laughed, Good to see you Newgate, come to meet your doom just like your partner?
Newgate thought quickly and drew his pistol! BANG! Officer Grant blew the Warlocks hand clean off, the same hand that was holding a strange book. The Warlock looked over and screamed in pain, "this is for Higgins!" Shooting at the Warlock the pages of the book turne quickly on the floor, a force feild deflected the bullets of the gun, Bang! Bang! Bang! Grant only had two shots left, aiming at the book he fired the gun but the bullet missed, Bang!
Seeing that Grant had gotten wise the Warlock rushed towards the book, but so did Officer Newgate! Grabbing the textbook his gun slid across the floor and who should pick it up but the sinister Warlock, Give me the book Officer Grant... but instead of giving the book to the serial killer Grant did the unexpected! Opening the book he yelled a bolder phrase, "Paladin's Smite!"
Blue lighting broke the ceiling and destroyed the Warlock in that single moment along with Grants gun... But he didn't need it anymore, because he was WIZARD-Cop!
Over the next week Grant stayed at home reading the book, studying every page. But the Police Captain got worried about how much time Newgate was taking off after the loss of his first and only partner Henry Higgins... So the chief called Grant into work, but instead of a police hat he had gotten a pointy hat with silver stars on it and a matching tie, on his name tag the name Officer Newgate was crossed out and taped over it was the name WIZARD-COP!
Completely transformed by this experience Grant entered the Chiefs office to see you standing at the desk with the captain of Miami Police, and all you hear Wizard-Cop say is, "Captain.... Call me Wizard-Cop now," noticing you in the room he pulls his sunglasses down, "who's this dork?"

"Well this dork, is gonna help you, officer Newgate, Grant" the mysterious woman said as she tilted her brown duster hat up to look at him and for him to look at her, seeing her mechanical face, as her feet were propped up on top of the chief's desk with arms crossed. "The name's Maria by the way, Maria Lockhart" she added as she turned her head towards the chief
With a snap of his fingers and the magic of his words, "Blink!" Teleporting behind the Captains desk Wizard-Cop looked at the woman, "I don't need help Captain, partner her with someone else..."
She looked at the Wizard cop and said "Actually, he called me here to become your partner, and even paid me a significant sum of money to do it too" as she got up from the chair placing her metal hands on the Chief's desks and leaning forward a bit.
"With all do respect Captain, I don't need a new partner, I got some swag magic powers now to help me fight crime." The chief of police coughed and pointed to the door. He was a man of few words for sure but Wizard-Cop didn't want to end the conversation so soon. "Captain! I don't need another partner to just get themselves killed on my account!"
"I wouldn't worry about me getting killed, Grant" she said smarty as she made for the door. "It's not my first trip around nabbing criminals since I am a professional bounty hunter" she added as she opened the door. "Come now, we have work to do, Hogwarts" she said to him opening the door for him.
"A bounty Hunter? You would really disgrace the name of cops so much as to hire a bounty hunter??!?" Wizard Cop was even more unhappy but the Chief of police coughed loudly and Wizard Cop straightened his posture. However it seemed the captain just had a bad cold because he piped in a cough drop and nodded at the door. "Fine Captain but if she gets killed out their the blood is on your hands!!! BLINK!" And Wizard Cop teleported out infront of the police station.
Maria just stared at him and said "If you continue to say blink, people are gonna think your crazy...despite your outfit says you" as she started to walk she asked the wizard cop "So, Hogwarts, you what we are doing?"
"Magic is concentrated by the reverberations of sound Boba Fett. It's how I cast spells," adjusting his glasses and pointy hat he gestured to the car. "Before Warlock showed up and took his 12 victims my old partner and I were working another case, I'm gonna finish that one... For Higgins." He got in the passenger seat of the cop car and buckled up, "Sal's pizza, step on it!"
"Hey I like Bobba Fett, Hogwarts" she said as she got into the driver side of the car. She grumbled to herself saying "What a gentlemen, making a lady drive" with a sarcastic overtone. She put the car into gear and darted off. "So, Hogwarts, where's the first stop, uh?"
"If you were paying attention Sherlock I said Sal's Pizza, it's down on 82nd street," Wizard Cop was very impatient, fore by now he could have just teleported there and done his investigation all ready.
"Geez alright Mr.Grumpy Hogwarts, what's stuck up your wand" she said as she drove to Sal's Pizza at really fast speed. "Hey, you can't rush somethings ok? You just gotta take it at a reasonable pace not super fast as your face may suggest" she added as she looked at the irritated look he had on him as they drove to Sal's
The city was loud and smelled of pollution, the drive was long and filled with traffic... Not a great day over all! "We almost there? Your taking forever..."
"Don't get your panties in a twist, we are almost there" she said as she booked the car into high gear once traffic cleared. As she drove she said "Sorry it took forever, its not like all of us are blessed with the ability to do magic" her tone is very sarcastic. They both soon arrived to Sal's Pizza. As soon as Maria parked she looked at him and said "I hope this is part of the investigation your working on and not you just busting my cybernetics for a lunch" she gave him a good stare before exiting the car.
Wizard Cop scoffed, "no the lead involves a man named Sal Rigatoni, his wife Penne and him own this pizza place." A bell jingled as the two entered, "the pizza here isn't even that good, their pasta's alright though..."
Maria just rolled her eyes at Grant. "So do want me to beat his face in if he doesn't give the information or are so confident in your magic that'll you get the information our" she said to him as went to the counter and waited for Sal and Grant to come. "This place does need a little clean though" she added as she looked around at the dirty decor of the place.
"Your savagery will not impress anyone, but if you wish to make a mess do so..."
"Well jeez I just capture or kill people who are worth some money and so to me the best way of getting information is beating it out them" she explained as she leans on the counter top
