Alexis pushed the door open to see a group of her lessers stand before her to celebrate the dashing party of a lifetime. Of course half of them didn't even know her name, or even what the party was for - but that's exactly why they were her lessers. They lacked respect or knowledge for her and therefore they needed to learn.
No one broke into applause as she trailed down the spiral staircase in an auburn evening gown draped with a transparent rough fabric that her stylist thought would 'be a good idea'.
The guests continued about their conversations and drinking as if she didn't exist. Irritation boiled inside the thin woman's chest, but outwardly she composed herself with a breathtaking smile full of pearly whites, and a walk that could kill anyone even worthy of her murdering.
"Thank you all for coming to the wonder that is my home." Her voice boomed across the rest, not so much as a scream, but a strong announcement so her voice was heard among the rest, and even if those farthest away didn't hear her, they would in fact notice the lack of noise.
Some offered her strange looks, before realizing that this wasn't a random get together and they actually had to pretend to be happy for someone they didn't know.

A short, chubby teen stood in her own secluded place, she kept moving her glass to swish her drink. Even though her hair covered her eyes, she kept moving her head around. As if she was anxious, or nervous. With her free hand she toyed with her golden tee-shirt, the fabric moving like thick liquid.
