Matt woke up in his small home, groggy and slightly hung over. He looked at his hand, which was holding an empty bottle of scotch. He dropped the bottle and grabbed his clothes and gear. Once he got everything on and ready, he walked out the door, taking a deep breath.
Blaynn yawned, stretching as he leaned against the old tree, sitting on a high yet thick branch with his thread-like tail wrapped around it, the needle at the end imbedded into the bark. His only eye was shut as a small breeze came by, and he could smell the pen air, the flourishing flora and the fauna around. He could hear the rustling of leaves, grass, the disturbance of the dirt as a few small animals passed by quickly.
