Out in the woods, far far out, there stands an old shrine. It's so far out, that no other human has been there in decades. The god it was built for has been so very lonely, along with her yokai guardian, due to no human able to see them anymore. One day, (your character/s) head out to explore and find it, only to be able to see them.

(I'm not entirely sure. Most of my characters are supernatural/have supernatural abilities or are some kind of magical creature. I think something like that would suit this most?)
