Twelve years ago, a pregnant woman was abducted by aliens. The goal was to experiment on her unborn child - to access untapped genetic pathways of evolution that humanity diverged away from. Whatever the reason behind this wish to play with human DNA, the consequences had forever changed what one boy's life was destined to be.

For a time, the child was kept secret by the government. Confiscated from his mother, he was held at a secret location for most of his life. But then documents on the ordeal were leaked. Calls were made to set the child free. Alas, his original family had mysteriously disappeared... perhaps abducted again for more long-term experiments.

With the child's identity now public knowledge, the Integration Initiative was enacted. An act to seek out new parents for the child. Just what kind of human would adopt a 12-year-old white-haired, monkey-footed (and tailed) individual?

It has now been a week since the boy - Kojiro (or 'Kiro' as he likes to call himself) - was adopted. He is beginning to settle into life with his new family. But with the start of the next year of school fast approaching, things are about to get a little more stressful...

Looking for a player with either 1) A character who can take the role of the adoptive parent, 2) A character who can take the role of a biological child of the adoptive parent (control of the parent(s) themselves can be discussed) or 3) A family of characters which Kiro can be adopted into.

1x1 format. Can either be real-world or an alternative world at about the same technology level (human-populated).

Note: partners aged 16+ are preferred. Partners must also be capable of no less than a paragraph per post.

i like the idea here if you're open to this odd family adopting him i can play as them all~

Hideki would be the father figure and Tsukiko and Masami would be his sisters they all have a physical flaw (mute, deaf, and blind) though...

I can give that a try. Kiro's pretty awkward in social situations and might struggle with communicating with them at first, but I guess that makes things more interesting.

I suppose this one is fairly easy to set up, given the modern setting and everything... but just in case, are there any questions before I send a starter over in a PM?

I'd be up for a one shot RP to test the waters. It could turn into more if we like where it goes.

My character Alf is a big, grumpy fella who is incredibly unlikable on first impression, but he's been known to adopt kids before. His current story arc takes place in a sort of panfandom Wreck it Ralph setting. He lives in one of the arcade games after having been dropped there from his home dimension. I thought it might be up your character's alley, since he likes digital things?

I should warn you that he really makes a terrible dad. He's only around sometimes and he resists. He's a crunchy shell of a human, but he's got a nougat center.

Hmm... I mean that'd probably require a complete re-imagining of this particular scenario (the original premise being a government-initiated adoption into a regular household isn't completely compatible with a guy living in an arcade machine), but I'm willing to alter a few things to make it fit. Depends whether you'd prefer to have Kiro somehow sucked into the game or Alf leaving the game to interact with earth. The former could easily occur whilst Kiro is still in a government facility, perhaps after having asked agents for an arcade machine and thus having one installed there. The latter might be more difficult unless Alf has been living in the 'real' world for a while or drops in and out of the real world enough to have a residence and legal citizenship. Or we can drop the arcade game thing entirely if you think that's easier (I don't want to force you out of it, hence why it's the 'alternative' suggestion).

If I alter Akio, Felicia, and Kana into normies (regular humans, no powers, just a regular everyday family), could they work? If so, I'm in.
