Nis'Tianes ran through the fog, trying to evade the people who were clearly going to attack her. They kept yelling in an unfamiliar language, but she wasn't stupid. They had seen her ears. They knew she wasn't human.
All of her drunken bravery has washed away and had been replaced with a cold, hard truth that simply refused to go away. Her heart was in her throat and her chest was aching. She felt like she would burst.
Where were her friends? Why had they not come to help her? Had they been attacked?
Had they abandoned her?
She didn't have much time to ponder it as she fell out of the thick fog onto lush green grass. She curled up and waited for the men to come through and attack her. When no such attack came, she began to sob loudly. It was not lady-like and completely out of character, but there it was, a sobbing mess of elf.
