Plot: A non-magical college-age depressed student loves his favorite cherry tree to sit under and think. However, he starts to feel less and less melancholy as a charming girl (my female character, Cherry, very much coincidence) starts to talk to him and uses some sort of "magical" force to do seemingly unexplainable things. He's got to tell her how he feels, but...she won't feel the same...will she?

Magic is fairly common. Players and NPCs important to the tale may have it. Mistborn.
Modern
A peaceful setting, but with a chance for small fights and struggles to break out on a very small scale.
Romance is required from early on, but there will be some semblance of a plot beyond the relationship.
