I had a plot for a Roleplay based on one of my most recent OCs. You can use a character of any gender and species as your OC. (The setting can either be real life modern or fantasy modern).
Plot: Your character decides to move into a rather large cabin in the woods in order to get away from the city, and have some alone time for themselves. Perhaps dabbling in hobbies or going exploring while on their time away. Little do they know, that the woods they've settled into is not as peaceful as it seems.
The beast began to make it's presence known gradually, first only watching from the darkness of the trees, but slowly it made it's way closer and closer to their cabin, wether or not they've noticed it. Until one night they hearing clawing at the walls of their cabin, and by the next morning they find dead creatures littered on their lawn.
Despite this though, they figure they can stay safe if they make sure to only leave the house during the day. That is, until the beast emerges from the forest , and sits idle in their front yard.
Perhaps they can make a bond with the creature, and show it that they can be trusted. Or perhaps, the beast is too hungry, and cares not for companionshop.

So yeah, basically your character tries to befriend a frightening werewolf/lycan and the lycan will then act as a guard dog/hunting dog/friend for your character. The werewolf is indeed cursed as well, but maybe there is a way to lift it.
(If your character manages this, then the werewolf will turn human. Wether it be a friendship or relationship from there, you can pick what gender you want your character to be friends/partners with).
Important note: The werewolf does not have any visible gender.
