In The Land Who's Name Has Been Forgotten; darkness, death, fire, and destruction spread and forced the once thriving society into a world separated from the land, closing and locking the gates behind them. The cause of this sudden disaster? Unknown.
Legend says, the new world that the society now inhabits is one of gold and hope, where these things that destroyed it are but fleeting memories.
However, the surrounding worlds have not been so lucky. Without anything else to tarnish, these forces of evil seeped into the surrounding world, bringing ruin to everything it touched.
And so... The few that survived traveled to the heart of this epidemic, to try and unlock the land which the original inhabitants created.

Magic is very common. Magic-tech, grand floating islands, forests that sing, magical creatures may be an every-day occurrence.
Iron age
More combat than not. The setting may be at war, and the characters will likely get involved whether or not they seek it out.
Some romance is possible, but the overall plot is more important.
Details: Occasional dice use, paragraphs required, long-term RP partner preferred.
