The Exo-Terran General Hospital, or just the General Hospital, is a trans-dimensional healthcare facility with a wide range of species in their staff that help patients of other 'universes.' Since the discovery of dimensional portals one-hundred years ago, technology has rapidly developed to accommodate patients of varying physiologies. Therefor, many staff with medical expertise outside of their own species are accepted into residency programs and offered jobs here.
The building is located at a city in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean on Earth, or 'Terra.' There are 'bays' where patients and staff can enter and leave through portals connected to their own universes. The building is also is clean and comfortable, with wings named after trees of Earth. For example, the cardiopulmonary unit is in the Birch Wing and the intensive care unit is in the Oak Wing. The hallways are a mix of warm colors with cool whites, with paintings of landscapes of other planets lining the walls.

If you are a staff member (doctor, nurse, nutrition specialist, anesthesiologist, etc.);
-Character must be 25+ years of age (regardless of species) AND physically an adult AND mentally an adult to work here. NO EXCEPTIONS.
- You may have a character as a pre-existing staff member, but ask players first before assuming characters who are strangers know each other more than in a brief passing. This is preferably done in DMs, not the thread.
If you are a patient;
- Character must be 18+ years of age (regardless of species) AND physically an adult to be admitted. This hospital does not have a pediatric wing and cannot treat minors.
- You may have a character as a pre-existing patient, but ask players first before assuming characters who are strangers know each other more than in a brief passing. This is preferably done in DMs, not the thread.
- This is not a residential hospital! It's for short-term care, such as a few months.
If you are a visitor;
- Character must be 18+ years of age (regardless of species) AND physically an adult to visit by themselves. Minors MUST be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over.
- Visiting hours are 8 AM to 10 PM.

It was 9 AM and Xali-no was already tired, sitting slouched on a bench. In the busy hallway of the transitional care unit, where patients would leave within twenty-one days, there were nurses tending to their station and nutrition specialists delivering breakfast to the patients' rooms. Uncommonly, but occasionally, a patient might have left their room for exercise, if they were off of their IV therapy device. None of the comings and goings bothered Xali-no. In fact, she hoped someone would come help her snap out of her desire to go dormant.
As a Dreamer, she didn't need sleep. So, naturally, she was the one who got the early morning and late night shifts. With the hospital located where it was in the middle of a trans-dimensional port city, they were properly busy, even in the mornings. Luckily, it was the weekend, according to Earth time. Hopefully, that meant people were off having fun and not getting sick or hurt. Then again, one never knew with some party-goers.
The troll raised her palms to the eye-holes of her mask in an attempt to rub there, but to no avail. Instead, she stretched, but it only made her realize how tense the muscles around her neck and shoulder blades felt. Emitting a low hum to try and stave off her visible exhaustion, she contemplated her week ahead. Perhaps she could go somewhere nice on her next day off. She'd seen a massage parlor down two roads from where she lived. They seemed to specialize in something called a 'Thai massage.' A taste of human culture, no matter how small, would be interesting, especially on a non-human body.
