(Before looking at the plot, this is definitely a roleplay birthed from my inner horse girl. You will be playing a Pegasus so please be comfortable roleplaying equestrian-type character. Also, instead of a deeply overarching plot, the goal is to simply keep your character’s real species a secret to keep him safe! We will plan “episode” type plots, which I have several ideas. Lastly please be able to dish out at least 2 paragraphs per post. Also please be able to do side characters, I have like three main ones. )
Freda “Freddie” Rose Prescott was born and raised in a bustling city in 1852. Her father ran a very successful factory that worked with making goods out of iron. Freddie was being raised to be a proper young lady when her parents were killed in a train accident. She was sent to live with her father’s brother, Silas, in a small outpost town named Free Springs in the middle of the wild frontier during the peak of the Wild West.
Her uncle own a horse ranch there and is the main distributor of horses in the small, but mostly friendly town. Freddie isn’t too sure about the frontier and finds that she is nervous and easily spooked. She likes the horses though she is also nervous and equally spooked around them. Freddie only has one friend, a stable hand’s daughter, and she usually spends time riding out in the frontier with her horse and few of her other friends with their horses. Freddie is left alone with her uncle most days, which she doesn’t really mind because she does come to come him.
Six months after moving to the small town and Freddie still isn’t settling in well. Silas thinks that the perfect gift for her is a horse, one he found at a horse auction. That horse is your character though he isn’t really a horse, he is the last of the Pegasus who are able to hide their wings so no humans suspect what they are lest the humans hunt them for sport.
He has always feared humans and so he is not too happy to be bought by one. He is definitely not happy to be presented as a present for one of their human foals. The young girl seems as nervous as he is though and she is kind to him so he decides to play along.
Neither of them have really had pleasing lives but when they find each other, maybe they both realize how much this new life suits them.

Some magic. Few can use it, but most of the players probably won't have it. Magical characters will likely believe that they are all alone.
Modern
Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.
No romance at all will be included in this plot, period.
