Votokyo is by no means a small town. And it's inhabitants are by no means small either.

Votokyo is a town created for vocal synthesizers, although recently it has opened its doors to non vocal synths to enter as well. Every single one of these androids are almost always capable of sounding like professional singers from the day they are created.

But where does one go if they were deliberately created to sound bad? What if there only role was to represent a vocal synthesizer's poor singing?

Haku can be seen taking a long, deep swig of sake before slamming the bottle down on the counter. She lets out a small sigh as she waits for the first customers of the day.

Haku is a representation of Hatsune Miku's poor singing. When people who use her technology poorly and get results that sound poorly made and robotic. Ever since the day of her creation, she knew she would never sound good. And in this universe, your singing ability is equivalent to your social standing. Everyone in Votokyo wants to be a famous pop star like Hatsune Miku. There is hardly anything superior than that. Hell, it was what they were made to do. It was what they were meant to achieve.

But she never will be that.

And so here she is, running a small corner candy shop in downtown Votokyo, living pay check to pay check, driving an old car that still uses wheels (which had become a rarity at this point).

But its not like she has anything better she can be doing. And its not like she's in poverty by any means, what with her being a part of Crypton Future Media and all (the richest and most famous creator of vocal synthesizers in the multiverse). Plus, seeing the customers faces as they enjoy something she sells brings a smile to her face. She doesn't have to sing like the others to make others happy.

Haku suddenly snaps back to reality as she sees the first customer of the day walk in, internally preparing herself for social interaction.
