Modern
Combat is woven into the storyline and could come to the forefront if the characters seek it out.
Romance is required from early on, but there will be some semblance of a plot beyond the relationship.

Backstory (What is their backstory): Asa Mitaka is a shy and introverted girl with a unique and deadly abilityβshe can transform anything she touches into a weapon. This power was thrust upon her after a fateful encounter with the Justice Devil, who attacked and killed her. However, death was not the end for Asa. The War Devil, Yoru, revived her, binding their souls together and taking control of half her brain.
Now, Asa must navigate life with Yoru as an ever-present voice in her mind, visible only to her. To others, she often appears to be talking to herself, but in reality, she is locked in constant conversation with the War Devil. Caught between her timid nature and the violent force that now resides within her, Asa struggles to maintain her identity while wielding a power that could turn the world into her battlefield.
