This is a fantasy dragon rider roleplay mixed with a zombie apocalypse roleplay. I know it’s an odd genre mix but I think it could be fun. The plot is pretty bare bones so feel free to add to it. You will be playing the dragon and I will be playing the rider. Now for the plot:
Elara had always been a home to humans and dragons. The two species didn’t go out looking for fights but they definitely distrusted and disliked each other. There were legends that dragons and humans use to form bonds and the dragons would allow the human who they bonded with to ride them. The legends say that the dragon riders protected the country from invasion. “ We are all Elaraian” they use to say. Most dragons and humans dismiss the legends.
That is, until three years ago when a plague spread through Elara. It was one that affected humans, animals, and dragons. The plague killed you in three days and brought you back as a monster whose only goal is to consume any living flesh. If you are bit then you turn into one of them.
Three years later, everyone is struggling. Food is limited and the undead roam both cities and countryside. There is one good thing that has come from the plague though. In the Timber Mountains, there is a newly built community that takes refuge in the caves high above the kingdom where dragons and humans live together. The dragons living there have agreed to take on riders and they train together in hopes of finding a way to end the nightmare.
Our characters are going to be first year trainees for the dragon riders, I’m thinking they don’t get along at first but learn to work together. My character is a thirteen year old girl but your character can be a young or grown dragon. The adult dragons range from elephant to giraffe size but the juveniles are the size of horses. I know it’s not a lot but I was hoping to build on the plot together.

Magic is rare. Some of the players might have it. There may be sages or other magical figures that could be sought out for tutelage.
Renaissance
Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.
No romance at all will be included in this plot, period.
