[This is a semi-modern setting, can also be mildly historical, the primary thing is high/medium magic]
Forest paced nervously around the meadow, making sure the festival was still properly arranged. It was a beautiful day, thin smears of clouds above, warm sunlight, and a cool breeze periodically ruffling the grass and trees. There were tables of food and drink around, assorted tableware of whatever he could find, a few pop up pavilions to supplement shade in a couple places, some small festival games, a decent sized dance floor of packed dirt, a small stream running through with cool water, and of course a few willowy constructs of woven flowers and branches to tend to everything.
He’d dressed up for the occasion, a long olive green tunic with gold embroidery over dark green pants and brown boots. An outfit though maybe out of style, that he finally recognised was comfortable and important to himself. He still had his light blue headphones around his neck, but hopefully he wouldn’t need them today. His hair and skin had also changed in the past few months as he had been remembering himself, hair shifting to a warm green and skin growing more tanned. He even had the start of a small beard.
He’d sent invitations by bird, gently tying appropriately sized notes to the legs of birds of all species he could, in the hopes that many people would turn up. Yes, that did mean at least one ostrich had an oversized scroll on its leg, and a chickadee with a teeny note that might not even be legible, but he was trying to be all inclusive.
[In more direct words, here’s a roster of key places:
The picnic benches, which are all set with different varieties of foods and tableware for any one to use. They are partially under some trees.
The dance floor, which has a nearby band of humanoid plant constructs (think small Ents) playing music and taking requests.
The stream, which is sometimes shaded by the trees and runs ice cold. Perfect to cool off after dancing. Deep enough to wade to the mid-calf.
An assortment of game stalls like one would find at a carnival or festival.]
Tato (played by Tater)

Nearby the stream of icy water, something peculiar stalks along the path it flows. A strange halo shape emerges from the depth of the trees, shining as if a flashlight, and out appears a small person no taller than a lawn chair. The halo dims into nothingness as the person approaches the running water, and peaks around to see if there's anything of interest, eventually stumbling upon the festival... alongside a turkey with an invitation, in which proceeds to attack the person until eventually the invitation is recieved and person walks out nearly unharmed.
With his curiosity peaked, he wanders over, oddly fitted with a greyish-green sweater and a large fluffed up head of hair, and stands behind the picnic table inspecting the drinks section and mainly staring at the iced water in awe, a set of wings fluttering out from behind him and wrapping his sides as if he was cold.
Lizbeth Redwood (played by Fantax)

Lizbeth shyly closes in to this carnival in the middle of the forest, normally she wouldn’t adventure around this part of the forest, but this little note she found on that bird that flew right into her little Eden, made her curious.
So this doe is here, in her usual linen outfit, standing on the edge of that seemingly improvised celebration of joy, in the middle of her beloved forest.

Would she dare step further, or just get a glance of it and disappear again. The music played seems catchy and makes her smile.

She needs some impulse to dare step into the happening, the fruit on the table is inviting.
Tato (played by Tater)

Tato is seen nearby the picnic table simply staring at the vase of ice water, near motionless other than the slight wing fluttering and eye movements following the crackle of fresh ice.
No thoughts seem to go through his small mind, nor any sense of awareness of his surroundings, which leaves him looking more lost than found... but that doesn't seem to stop him from enjoying the water, whether it be actually using it, or staring at it intently.

It took an embarrassingly long moment for Forest to notice the newcomer, but as soon as he did he approached with a friendly manner. His step was soft in the grass as he wore soft soled shoes, but he was by no means trying to be sneaky. He even waved as he approached, trying to get their attention.
"Welcome! I am Forest, make yourself comfortable." He smiled warmly to them. "Do you need anything to eat or drink?" He was almost inclined to ask about the wings, but decided it might be too awkward just yet.
Tato (played by Tater)

Tato turns and looked up at Forest startled for a moment with his wings puffing out, but calmed down quickly and responded.
"May I have some water?" He asked as he pointed towards it, noticeably too short to reach up and get it himself.

"Of course, here." Forest himself poured some cold water from a pitcher into a tall blue plastic cup before passing it to the young... man? Woman? Child? "What's your name?" He asked politely. As he spoke to the small angel he saw the other onlooker and waved to them, sending a construct over as well with a small tray of lemonade and ice water in some glass goblets.

(Sorry about the long pauses between messages, helping family with stuff ;v;)

"My name is Tato." He said happily, giving a warm smile before carefully holding the cup as if it were glass and sipping it. A closer look of him only led to more questions, his eyes and body looking like he hasn't slept in weeks or eaten anything in months, yet he seems so lively and joyous.

At Forest's beckon, one of the waiting plant creatures approached her with a small tray of four assorted drinks each in a glass goblet of varying design and offered the selection with a small bow. There appeared to be water, lemonade, cranberry juice, and a sparkling water that smells of strawberries. All had obviously been recently chilled, perhaps with a spell.

"Good to meet you Tato." Forest nodded once in acknowledgment. "Feel free to as much as you would like, there is more than enough to go around." He was a bit concerned, but not yet ready to ask any personal questions.
And indeed the tables were each a lavish feast to themselves, much less together. One could almost feel as if the feast would never run out, even if it lasted a week. There were simple offerings of bread and butter, ranging up to flavorful curries and stews.
Tato (played by Tater)

Tato searched around curiously, his eyes never focusing on one thing and instead wandering around aimlessly, yet he also looks to be staying within the radius of another and never wandering out of sight. Soon he noticed Lizbeth, but stayed silent, simply watching everything happen as if he's never seen anything like this before.
Dae (played by SaharaSunset)

A small child with large wings wandered into the festivities. They looked around with large curious eyes, patting the little bird that rested on their arm. Everything was so different from how a forest normally was. It was almost like a festival at home. The child wanders over to Forest and lifts their arm up with the bird still perched.

“Excuse me. I found a note on your bird. What is this? It looks like lots of fun!”

"I am glad! It is a festival!" Forest grinned. "Hopefully a grand celebration of the summer. It has been... a long time since I held one. I think." He had a vague uncertainty to his tone. However it was overruled by the confidence that this was to be a good event. "Please, make yourself comfortable. Eat and drink, play games, have fun! And I am glad our feathered friend saw fit to return." He nodded to the bird.
Kiyo Narukami (played by Revereen)

How ironic, a crane giving a crane yokai an invitation to a magical place. Likely the work of some Fae, but who knows? She was merely an artist and an animator. At first she considered throwing away the letter and return to playing one of the hardest games she's ever played, E.T on the Atari, but after dealing with constant deaths, she already reached her limit. So, she instead opted to leave her home just to find this festival the letter was talking about in order to calm her nerves and not break either her controller, television screen, or even both.

Following the instructions, she arrived by the picnic table, spotting forest. If only my boyfriend was here, she thought to herself. Indeed, if Ren was present, she would have the confidence to converse with other people. Though, she might be able to impress her boyfriend, and his kitsune mother, if she could show that she was not entirely avoidant of conversations.

So, she walked up to Forest... and unfortunately the only thing that would come out of her mouth was a "BUGAWK!". She was a crane yokai, not a chicken yokai, in a human form, mind you.

"N-nice to meet you...pal...?" She reluctantly held up a hand

"If it worked when my boyfriend says 'pal', then it works with me..." She muttered very quietly to herself in order for Forest not to notice.
Looking around curiously, it was hard to hide the brightness that flickered across Elias' gaze. In his hands he clutched the small note that had been delivered to him by a bird on his windowsill. This place had everything! Food, entertainment, music! Anything that a person could dream of. Lucky for him, he didn't seem to be the first person to arrive (something he always hated).

Amongst the friendly looking faces, the first one to truly stick out to the young actor was a man with pale hair and a set of green eyes to match the scenery around him. He looked to be bouncing from person to person from what Elias could tell. Perhaps the host? It was safe to assume so.

With a bit of a self pep talk, the young man would eventually work up the courage to approach, wearing one of his better smiles.

"Good morning! I received this note and just wanted to confirm I was in the right place." Lifting up the paper, he'd motion to it before suddenly stopping. "I mean, I don't mean to sound dumb or anything... This is clearly a celebration in a forest like described. But you can never be too sure, you know?" He'd fumble, a bit of blush dusting his cheeks as he fidgeted with one of the sleeves of his hoodie.

This was all Lizbeth needs, to be welcomed. Even if it feels awkward to be served by plants, the doe didn’t fear. It’s as if her own forest opens its arms to guide her into that festival. She gets reassured and chooses the cranberry juice.
She knew there would be would be magic here, it was mentioned, even if she has none.
She approaches the delightful music and looks around. Oh, she knows that crane and smiles, waving.
The host seems to be that man, with greenish skin and beautiful white, silvery hair. She doesn’t know anyone else, but the festival is inviting. She senses a strong presence, something powerful, she had that same feeling meeting a guardian of the forest, but here it is even stronger.
The deer let’s herself slightly go with the enchanting music, moving to the rhythm.
