Summer in the Holy Empire of Landor brings to light a time of merriment for all in the empire, from the richest nobles to the poorest peasants and riff-raff alike. The Festival of the Sun takes place on the day when the land is said to be closest to the sun—where the afterlife is believed to be. Some people celebrate this glorious day with drinking, breaks from work, parties, and more. Meanwhile, the more religious in the empire instead practiced prayer and worship of the Saint in White.
Emperor Corhan Landor must ensure that both demographics of people, from the hedonistic to the faithful, have their needs met during the annual Festival of the Sun celebration. And so, the strangely tall for his species corgi sits on his throne in the central square in front of his palace with a goblet of wine in hand, his fur as typically silky and clean as always and his robes seeming to sparkle in the midday sun. The typical decorations for a festival are set, with banners showcasing the sun flying high, guards and knights at the ready, confetti thrown in the air, and pennants hung high. Musicians and bards are gathered around, playing songs and telling holy stories in worship.
"Hear ye, people of the empire!" Corhi announced as he stood up, his cape falling to drape over his ornate armor of pure gold, shining almost as much as his crown. "Gather around one and all! For the festival is about to begin!"
Most of the center is dedicated to the party itself, while there is also space for the faithful to pray—albeit, with guards ensuring that the prayer is done to the Saint and ONLY the Saint.
