Mori was traveling across the Northern Forest she had left her bonfire site to see if she could find some extra firewood that wasn't completely soaked from the recent storm that had passed through. She did not travel so far from the site where she had set up camp very often, but it seemed as if she had already gathered majority of the easier pieces to carry without having to chop any new trees down. She was traveling for some time when she looked above the tree line and seen the smoke from a fire rising up and twirling into the sky. She hadn't noticed anyone in the area previously but then again she did not tend to come this far.
"Maybe I should go the other way." she spoke softly, she could feel the cold wind blow lightly over the cheek on her face and across the tip of her nose. It would be better to see who would be staying in the area near her and she had been out in the cold for sometime. She decided to continue towards the stranger's campsite since it was closer for her, than for her to turn around. She adjusted her pack a little and decided to keep heading forward. It wasn't too far ahead and there was a trail not far from her that seemed to head in that direction. She walked towards the path, as she was a little ways away she could see there were what seemed to be fresh footprints heading that way.
Not wanting to continue upon the same path that someone else had been traveling, She turns around and heads back the way she came. She wouldn't want to leave and traces of her presence that were directly noticeable to someone who was not looking for them so she brushed some of the snow back over her tracks. Mori stops once she is back on the original trail she had been on earlier. She stops to listen, Her fox ears twitching at the slightest movement with in the forest. One ear focused on the path that she had came from previously and one ear towards where the camp seemed to be.
There was only one set of footprints, But where had they come from? She continues towards the stranger's camp. As she approaches she can hear two male voices speaking to each other. Their steady conversation with each other noted they were not aware of her presence near them yet. Her heart beating slightly harder, she could start to feel a flush in her cheeks. Unsure of who these men were she was concerned about whether she should continue approaching them.

Mori, still nervous to approach the men but with a clearer view then before steps on a small branch she hadn't seen on the path *snap*, she sees the cougars ear twitch slightly in her direction so she quickly hides behind the tree beside her. Breathing as quietly as she can while her heart is racing she thinks to herself, " I shouldn't have came this way." Suddenly, embracing the trees bark with her fingertips she hears the sound of a sword being unsheathed. Her eyes widen and both of her ears focus in the direction that the sound had came from. She could see a faint blue light shining over the snow in her direction. They were aware of her presence and had now taken her to be of a threat. Unsure of what to do, she suddenly hears Some call out, " Who goes there?" a pause, "Show yourself!"
She stands as still as she can trying to decide wether she would attempt to make a run for it and risk an altercation of sorts or wether she should just announce herself. When she heard someone else chime in and say, "I know I'm intruding, so I apologize," he said as his greeting. "I'm wondering if someone I know stopped this way. I can leave you two be if that's what you'd prefer." She sighed in relief, That would have to take at least some of the attention off of her for a minute. She listens closely as the cougar whose ear had twitched slightly when she stepped on the twig stated, "Just caught us by surprise, is all, was just inquiring about that myself. Wouldn't pass up the opportunity to help out a fellow.. searcher."
Clearly still out of view of the three of them, she could not hear any direct movement that indicated any altercation to that point. Still wary of the situation she looks back up the path she had came. They would surely see her if she ran for it thats when she hears the cougar chime in once again and say, "Reckon that'd be a whole lot easier if we all put our weapons away, though." She waited to hear what the other man who had shouted previously would say. He initially had a response to guard himself more than the other had so this made her more tense about proceeding in their direction. Exhaling she could see her breath in the wind, wanting to stay unnoticed she pulls her mask over her mouth to prevent it being seen from to far away. She continues to listen closely.

Mori, breathing slightly harder as she hears the male who had drawn his sword in defense earlier asks, "By the stars... What in the world are you two?" With a sound of curiosity in his voice. She giggled slightly at his tone of voice when questioning them. Hopefully she wasn't heard by any of them. Her ears twitched slightly as she heard him whispering something but it had not come across clearly. Behind her to the right there was another tree she could maybe make a break for in order to get a better view at what he was referring too. She glances to her left before making her move to make sure there wasn't anyone close enough to see her. As she was about to move she heard someone fall into the snow and start exclaiming expletives.
Mori took her chance and quickly moved over to the other tree grasping this tree the same as she had done before instead of looking out from the left side, she looks around the tree to her right. As she moves her bangs fall softly across her face and tickles her nose. She is able to have a clear view to the first people she had heard when approaching the area. Both were wearing suits of armor. What appeared to be a large Black cat was wielding the large sword she had heard being drawn earlier. She could also see now that he had a staff in his hand that was glowing the blue light that was seen on the snow.
The cougar that she had seen previously had his attention on the being that had fallen. She then watched as it morphed into a woman with long white hair. " What in the..." she gasped as the woman had finished taking shape. Mori could tell the girl was speaking but she couldn't make it out from the distance she was at. As she was talking she covered her eyes and Mori's eyes quickly returned to the Black cat, he seemed to be the one she would have to worry about if there was any confrontation.
She was about to approach them but thats when she heard someone else that was out of her sight say, " How many people are out here in these woods at the same time." Mori thought to herself " That's what I was thinking." as he chimed in. She adjusted her view to see if she could see the one who was speaking now. She could see he was holding his bow drawn he was standing firm as he asked the question. Afraid to make her self known she crouches to the floor and quietly decides to move closer. He had an arrow drawn with a lavendar cloud around the tip, she wondered what type of magic was being placed on it. He introduces himself and his people then says that he understood if they had not been seen previously but then catches her by surprise when he gestures to his sides away from the others in the conversation. She hurries and tries to find cover before anyone else realizes he gestured to where she was moving from.
"Damn." Mori said to herself, she had been spotted. Still nervous to announce herself she stays crouched in the spot she was hiding in now. "There's no use in staying hidden." She thought to herself as she heard the cougar introduce himself to the one who had revealed her presence, she never really was one for sneaking up to anyone unnoticed. " Pleasure's all mine Sali, Name's Randle." She caught just the end of his sentence. "Randle, huh?" She thought to herself again. When he continued saying," Goes for all of you.." She could tell he was referencing in more than one direction. Now was better than never to introduce herself, She stood up from the place she had been hiding and walked towards an open clearing not far from where they were.
"The name's Mori!" She spoke firmly, " I seen your camp not far from where mine is situated while looking for fire wood. I figured it may be best to see who would be staying near my campsite." She flicked her tail from side to side. The blonde of her tail catching the light and glistening a pale gold color.
"I haven't seen anyone else in these woods for quite sometime but I don't usually travel so far.." Ushering towards their armor and swords especially the Black cat's," What brings you here in such... uhhh attire?" Mori was in a pair of tan leather pants and a white tank top covered by a gray trench coat with a zip up sweater hoodie drawn over her head to cover her ashy golden blonde hair and white ears. She wore a pair of goggles on top of her head and a balaclava that covered only her mouth, She gently pulled it down to reveal her face only after addressing them. She wore a pair of chest holsters that she kept two pearl white .45's in, and a thigh holster that she kept a .380 in. She had a pack on that also had an axe for chopping wood or to fend off danger without to much noise if needed. She kept her hands visible so that they felt no threat. She was still worried about the Cat's reaction to her sneaking up so closely to where they had been without any notice. Watching as the cougar raised to his feet she could tell that he had a little trouble standing.
((Hey chat. I apologize, but due to the lack of active people who seem to be genuinely interested in the plot of this rp or reading the previous messages in the chat, I will not be continuing this.
While this is a public rp, this is not Trixie's Bar, and I expected people to follow with the plot of the setting and not just throw characters down in the middle of a fight sequence acting like nothing was going on. I understand that you want to show off your characters and their personalities, and maybe not write long paragraphs, but I at the very least expected some interest in the goings on of the rp itself.
See y'all next time,
