You are a bandit living in the fantasy world of the Lands Between, working for an eccentric coward of a yeen by the name of Patches and his store of stolen goods known as Trusy Patches' Emporium. Patches regularly sends you into dangerous, foreign areas with him that end up having you two crossing the entire continent and getting into all sorts of trouble and mischief, all while proving time and time again just how "trusty" the lovable bastard is.

Magic is very common. Magic-tech, grand floating islands, forests that sing, magical creatures may be an every-day occurrence.
Renaissance
Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.
Romance isn't outright desired, but can happen if we decide the characters are perfect for each other. The romance won't be important to the overall plot.
